I had an older version of Contact Form 7 (3.8) so u upgraded it (to 3.8.1), that didn’t help either.

this might not have anything to do with your case, but Jetpack was braking it for me, deactivating it is not enough, it has to be deleted.

Well looking inside the zip file there don’t seem to be any of the folders that contain wordpress itself, so i presume whatever wordpress version the site you are restoring to has that’s what will stay.

If you are looking for a plugin to copy absolutely everything try Duplicator.

Apparently you are right, it works now and i managed to connect, seems it was some sort of server issue.

I didn’t do anything since, except try to find a substitute for stats which there were a few but they either needed Jetpack to be installed already or they worked on the same principle so i couldn’t use any of them.

(So the lesson to be learned from this is to wait for the problem to solve itself ?? )

OK, well i started deleting plugins 1 by 1 and testing the theme after each to see which was the problem.
And the answer is the SE Analyzer Developer plugin.

Case closed.

Changing the banner (header) image on this theme is very stupid.

I had to search for 2 days to find this forum thread to find out how.

Would it really be that hard to put a field in the front page tab ? or a Header tab under Appearance ? like almost every other theme ? or at least mention this in the Front page tab or in the documentation ?

The way the theme author suggested we add the banner image doesn’t work if you wanna use the front page for your latest blog posts now does it ?

And it’s a shame cuz it’s a very nice looking and pretty customizable theme, it could have been one of my most used themes.

In the mean time, i installed this theme on another site, using the same hosting company (with the security plugin added and configured) and on that site it works (saves)

There have been 2 theme updates since then, but neither helped with the original site.
The only thing i can think of is that it’s a plugin conflict.

Does anyone know of a way to find out which ? seeing as deactivating all of them doesn’t help.

it’s a custom theme, so i just download everything that is in the themes folder ? what built in search would that be ? i don’t know of any that can look inside multiple php files for a specific line.
