They have assured me that I have ownership of the files.

I have uploaded images to the folder via ftp but unfortunately cannot access these on the media library. My hosts suggest I instal a plugin to do this but unfortunately I cannot instal or upload plugins either. Apart from that, I feel i should be able to upload files directly to the media library via the media uploader.

Again, thanks very much for your assistance. I am at a loss to know where to turn next. I am assuming these issues were caused by the domain name change as they did not exist prior to the change.

I changed the permissoions as suggested but none of the changes made a difference.

I’m afraid i didn’t go through the steps outlined.

I changed the urls on the general settings page and was unable to access any page. I contacted my hosting company who fixed this for me but informed me that I would have to change the settiings for the home page in the wordpress dashboard.

I looked through the link but it seems a little complex for me. Is there anywhere in the admin I can resolve this?
