In reply to: [HandL UTM Grabber / Tracker] UTM Parameters not capturedThink I stick to my own solution to get the values in.
Also asked Elementor about this change. Hereby their support reaction:
Hey Johan,
Thank you for reaching out to Elementor Support!
I understand that after updating to Elementor version 3.24.4, you’re experiencing issues with translations made using TranslatePress, particularly with headings that contain an ‘&’ symbol.
In version 3.24.4, Elementor applied security improvements in several widgets, including the Heading widget, to better sanitize and validate text inputs. This is to prevent potential vulnerabilities that could arise from untrusted input. These changes enforce stricter handling of special characters (like &) and HTML entities in text fields to enhance security.
Due to the stricter input validation, certain characters (such as &) in the original heading text may now be treated differently, causing the
We recommend reaching out to TranslatePress and sharing this information with them. They may need to adjust how they handle the sanitized content in Elementor widgets, particularly with special characters like &.
If you need further assistance or more details on the exact security updates, feel free to let us know. We’re here to help!
Best regards,
Lior

In reply to: [HandL UTM Grabber / Tracker] UTM Parameters not capturedI just want to add that whitelisting didn’t worked for us. It only works when the url is approached directly. If the landingspage is not the same as the actual form page you need to exclude the form page from the cache, otherwise the form page is served from the cache and the hidden fields will nog get filled with the UTM values. Our sites are hosted at Kinsta, but can imagine that this counts for more hosts with server caching in place.
Hello Anca,
We’re using the latest versions of Elementor (3.24.7) en TP (2.8.7). Just updated both and still the translated text is not there anymore. If I put a new translation in the same widget it will save, but the ones which should already be there are gone. If I rollback Elementor to 3.24.3 the translations are back. If you check the changelog of Elementor, you see that they performed a security fix 3.24.4 – 2024-09-23: Improved code security enforcement in Heading and Counter widgets. Not sure how they did this, but it broke a lot of translations on several corporate sites. Maybe you can check with Elementor to fix this issue.
If you need screenshots, let me know.
Kind Regards,
Johan

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] double meta descriptions after update to 20.12Hi Jeroen,
Just added the function to our corporate sites. See how this gets picked up by Ahrefs.
Thanks,
Johan

The theme is Hello and was updated from 2.7.1 to 2.8.1.
Will try to get this issue towards the developer.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] wrong canonicalsHi Jeroen,
That’s is a good / useful pointer. I will try first clearing cache and then use the reset button. FYI: we not using WPRocket for cache, just for JS optimization. Cache is serverside cache by Kinsta.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] wrong canonicalsHi Jeroen,
Yes, we use the SEO addon for TranslatePress. I already reached out to TranslatePress. They couldn’t give me useful pointers. There is still a problem with the canonicals on the archive pages. But the last crawl of the Ahrefs Audit tool (this morning) showed us a much better health score than the weeks before. We went up from 26 to 95. This score indicates the internal urls that doesn’t have errors. Maybe the Yoast helper plugin did help after all.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Lost Robots.txt after migrationHi,
I know how to create a robots.txt. That’s not the point. I think a Yoast update removed the data.
Hi Quill Forms Team,
I’m using Perfmatters
Not for caching, just for js and other optimizations.
The issue is solved by disabling js defer and js delay.
