I hope it’s okay for me to tag on to this post. I am also getting the “Unable to create directory wp-content/uploads/2014/01. Is its parent directory writable by the server?” message, but I have not changed servers lately, or made any changes to my server. If I go to my older posts, I can still upload photos to those posts and insert them in new posts by using the media library, but I cannot add photos to new posts, upload new themes, headers, backgrounds, etc. Any idea what’s going on?
