did you install some new plugin or did any changes since last week?

The issue seems to be:

1. permissions problem
2. hard disk space problem

Login to the Cpanel and delete all files and directories. From the Cpanel navigate to the phpMyAdmin, select the WordPress database and click on drop.

IT also depends what your theme is using / supports. check the theme as sometimes the links are hardcoded. Though as Seacoast said, if the theme is supporting custom menu, that is the way to go.

WordPress do not have pagination by default, it only links to the older post. If you want pagination you can use a plugin, such as WP-PageNavi, which is very popular:

As regards the posts, all posts of WordPress are saved in the MySQL database. The WordPress files include only the core WordPress files, plugins, themes and media files (pictures etc). All other content is stored in the MySQL database.

Yes you can safely delete them. Actually it is always safer to delete them. You should not have such type of backup files available on your website.
