In reply to: [Hide My WP Ghost - Security & Firewall] iPhone White Screen of Death ver 7Hey,
This could happen when you disable the inspect element and the mobile browser is set on desktop view mode.
To resolve this issue, you can disable the Inspect Element option in the settings of Hide My WP.
Here’s what you need to do:
- Go to the Hide My WP settings.
- Navigate to “Tweaks”.
- Find the option to “Disable Options > Disable Inspect Element”.
- Turn off this option.
Once you have completed these steps, see if the issue is still present. If the problem persists, please let us know so we can assist you further.

In reply to: [Hide My WP Ghost - Security & Firewall] Best of its kindThank you for the review. I’m glad you like the plugin. If you have any suggestions to make the plugin better, please let us know.
Best, John
Thank you for the question. I see that the image is used in Elementor and when you change to default, the Elementor plugin has a cache section on Elementor > Tools > Regenerate Files & Data.
Click to regenerate and clear the website cache and you will see the default paths.
If you don’t want Hide My WP Ghost to change the paths in the cache files, switch off the option Hide My WP > Tweaks > Change Paths In Cached Files (sidebar)

In reply to: [Hide My WP Ghost - Security & Firewall] And theyHi,
Please give us more details to understand what happened:
- Did you use this plugin on a fresh installed website?
- Did you hide the WordPress Common Paths including PHP extensions?
- Did you activate the Firewall 7G from Hide My WP Ghost?
- Did you activate the Brute Force Protection?
- Did you check the Events Log to see what happened?
Note! If your website had already a virus, Hide My WP Ghost can’t protect your website anymore.
Also, you can use Hide My WP Ghost together with Wordfence or iThemes Security for daily virus scans.

In reply to: [Hide My WP Ghost - Security & Firewall] Odd template and plugin urlYes, for custom plugins and themes names seems that you need the premium version.
The URL Mapping option doesn’t work the same as you need to change each name using WP functions. This way you don’t get errors when you change the paths.
The change in .htaccess has to be linked to the paths you set in the WP functions. You can’t just change the paths in .htaccess file.
A solution to see the unchanged paths while logged in and to show the changed paths only for visitors is to switch off the option:
Hide My WP > Tweaks > Change Options > Change Paths for Logged Users
Happy Holidays!

In reply to: [Hide My WP Ghost - Security & Firewall] Vendor can’t upload imagesHi,
Thank you for reaching support.
I don’t really know why this is happening. See if it’s working when you switch off the option:
Hide My WP > Tweaks > Change Options > Change Paths for Logged Users

In reply to: [Hide My WP Ghost - Security & Firewall] Odd template and plugin urlHi,
Thank you for your question. By default, you will get some coded names for each plugin and theme.
You can set a custom name for each plugin by using the Advanced option for both Plugin Security and Theme Security.

Hope this helps, John
Hi,
Thank you for the feedback.
This isn’t a plugin vulnerability but we took your advice and added an extra verification of the XML and TXT files for both Sitemaps and Robots based on REQUEST_URI.
Please download the last version of the plugin, replace the current version and check again.
If everything works correctly, please update the review score and if you need any help with the plugin, you can open a support ticket.
Best regards,

In reply to: [Hide My WP Ghost - Security & Firewall] Disable Options – not workingHi Alan,
Please make sure you have jQuery loading on your website. You can check if you have any option in the theme that stops jQuery from loading.
We’ll soon add the option to select if you want to use jQuery or not for this feature.
