Also, you can use MediaElement.js’s alternate
[mejsaudio src=”file.mp3″]
This is the most common problem is that your MP4 isn’t encoded in a way that Flash (or Chrome) understands.
There is an update to 2.1.4 which makes some changes to the Flash audio shim as well as Mac/Safari (which is strangely much less reliable than PC/Safari). It should kick in later today.
Your MP4 is not encoded correctly so Flash doesn’t know it’s duration.
I’m looking into this – it only happens in Flash right now…
The live version is fixed. Sorry about that.
Could you post a link to the page where you’re seeing this happen?
The preload value should be “none”.
I’ll take a look at the autoplay option.
Could you update the player and then if you’re still having problems, send me the URL to your site.
I don’t see any {video} tags in your posts. Could it be that you have some other plugin that’s interferring?
Just make sure to set [video preload="none" src="https://amazon.com/video.mp4"] and you should be all set.
Erik,
Those files are loading correctly for me in Chrome (HTML5) and Firefox (Flash). Are you still having problems?Chris,
I’ve made some updates. Could you tell me if you’re still seeing the audio echo? The WMV does require Silverlight for playback.
Ronald, try updating to the latest version and let me know if you’re still having issues with IE.
This is fixed in the latest version
