This doesn’t seem to work on my IIS6 installation of wordpress. The CSS is generating a bad link

I was hoping you might be able to do something to fix it?

ISAPI Rewrite Lite from Helicon IS FREE! and it works just fine for me. I still have the option of creating a custom 404 page… When I get around to it. This way when a crawler finds a non-existant page, they won’t tend to catoragize it as my home page…. Unless, of course that’s what your looking for.

I wouldn’t suggest setting your 404 page to be index.php. I’ts just not the correct way to solve the problem. Instead, I would suggest installing ISAPI Rewrite Lite from https://www.helicontech.com/download/ and installing your rewrite there. This more nearly approximates the .htacces that is associated with apache. Good guess, but why would they always validate the /archives ?

I am running w2k3 with IIS6.
I have had wordpress working with PHP 4.3.7, and updated to the just released 4.2.8 and all works fine. I’ve been working on getting 5.0.0 working, but I’m getting the following error when trying to log in:
“The specified CGI application misbehaved by not returning a complete set of HTTP headers.”
Everything else appears to be working correctly. It also appears that PHP5 needs to be installed in the CGI form, and NOT the ISAPI form.
Has anybody had any success with wordpress and PHP 5?

Since .htaccess and mod-rewrite don’t work on an IIS server, I’d like to know if there’s any other avenue to modify the permalinks structure on IIS ?
