My (short at the moment) solution for this was to create an empty file style css in the wordpress installation folder (if you have the possibility to ssh in the server).
Here the step(s):
Login to the host
Goto ~/www/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/shortcode-for-current-date/dist/
(if this is the installation direcotory of wp).
touch style.css
Logout
No 404
