In reply to: [Mastodon Autopost] Autopost creates fatal errorWhen moving a website from one server to another, I too came across this. The plugin still works OK on another website so it might be a difference in the configuration that tripped things up on me. However, instead of trying to find what the problem was, I switched to Share on Mastodon instead and that seems to work fine so far. It also was updated more recently than Mastodon Autopost as well in case that helps.

In reply to: [Connect Matomo (WP-Matomo, WP-Piwik)] Matomo 3.7 compatibilityThanks for the reply.
I managed to get it working by getting php-curl sorted and switching off SSL verification. The last step may not be ideal but it did the job.

In reply to: [WP Editor] Throws 502 errorsThe issue still exists with only WP Editor active so there clearly is a clash with Open Web Analytics and it only began after I set it working on my website. For now, I have deactivated your plugin and all works as it should. The version of PHP is 5.6.

In reply to: [Live Blogging] Entries from all live blogs getting mixedThe only that I say against this fix is that the live entries take a noticeable amount of time to appear on the page. If this could be speeded up, then the suggestion is more worthwhile.

Sometimes, it’s supposed familiarity that blinds us from looking in what others consider to be obvious places…

In reply to: [Broken Link Checker] Broken Link Checker installation failed. There is an active discussion on the plugin author’s website so he is aware of this and tried a debugging release and someone has gone back to the previous version (1.7) and I have been able to do the same to see if the issue affects that as well.

In reply to: [Broken Link Checker] Broken Link Checker installation failed. It’s the failure of the dashboard widget that causes this behaviour. In my case, it was the Limit Login Attempts plugin that was the cause and it has had to be removed. It might be that plugin or another one that is coming into conflict with Broken Link Checker so it’s worth having a check to see how you go.
There may be a server load but I like the idea of automatic link checking and I am glad to have Broken Link Checker working again. Others are entitled to their opinions…

In reply to: Duotone PHP Error on WordPress 2.9It looks as if this theme only works if you installed WordPress into the root of the web server folder and not a subfolder. The problem that I have seen is in the fake_rewrites function where text substitution is making a URL unusable.

In reply to: Appearance>Editor issuesThis should have been fixed in last night’s release and I can confirm that things are working for me.

In reply to: [Plugin: Simple Tagging] Simple Tags can’t workThis plugin checks the version of WordPress before it runs. The idea is that it works one way for 2.3.x and another for 2.5 and later. If you edit simple-tags.php to get it to cope with your WordPress release number, then you should be fine. I have had it working perfectly in 2.6 as far as I can tell.
