In reply to: 4.4 getting Aw Snap! error when pasting into editor in ChromeOP here. I am cutting and pasting from another wordpress page in the editor. Usually open in another tab.
Once this started happening I cannot paste anything – even a single character copied from the same page – without getting the error.
Weirdly though, this only seems to be happening with this one page. I did a bunch of updating on my site this weekend and cut and pasted info around in Chrome without any issues EXCEPT for this one page.

In reply to: 4.4 getting Aw Snap! error when pasting into editor in ChromeI was able to copy and paste the contents of the page into a new page – and there’s a fair amount of content – but once it was published the Aw Snap! error came back even when pasting only a single word.
BTW the page that is giving me the error is:

In reply to: 4.4 getting Aw Snap! error when pasting into editor in ChromeWell, glad to know it’s not just me.
I recently switched themes. I was originally using a child theme of Twenty Eleven but I am now using the Sparkling theme. The problem persists either way.
After doing further experimentation I’ve discovered that there seems to be a particular page that this is a problem for – I can generally paste into posts and pages. I am going to try to create a new version of this page and see what happens.

In reply to: 4.4 getting Aw Snap! error when pasting into editor in ChromeUpdate: I tried disabling all of the Chrome extensions. Now I can *occasionally* paste text. I thought I might be able to isolate the issue to a single extension but I still get the error about 2 out of every three tries.
Thanks so much for your help but I think I’m giving up at this point.
I disabled the wenty Eleven Theme Extensions plugin and hand coded the sidebar back into single posts and pages which broke WP jQuery Lightbox for some reason. I love the plugin but since my theme isn’t playing well it’s time to move on. I think I am going explore using flickr- or picasa-based galleries now.
Thanks again for being one of the few developers who actively tries to help users on the forums!
Thanks again for your continued help!
I deleted the twenty eleven theme and then re-downloaded it just to be sure it was in fact free of any modifications and tried again. I eventually found that the conflict was with a plugin called “Twenty Eleven Theme Extensions.” Which enables me to have a sidebar on single posts pages.
I still have one issue I’d like to solve: Lightbox is now working as expected with single posts, but it is not working for galleries displayed in “blog view” – when scrolling through multiple posts. These sill link to the file.
Tried it with unaltered Twenty Eleven theme and it did not work, but it DID work with the WordPress Default (v. 1.6 based on Kubrick.) All other plugins were running.
Thanks for your suggestions, I disabled all plugins and tried jQuery Lightbox on it’s own. I also refreshed the page and tried multiple browsers. No lightbox effect appears. The link goes directly to the image file. ??
Does there need to be some kind of script in the header for this to work?
Will do. Thank you so much. I will post my results when or if I figure it out.
Out of curiosity, how do I test my site to see what exceptions are occurring?
Thanks so much for your reply. Love your plugin, I just hope I can get it working for me.
I do understand that the shortcode link must =”file”.
All of my links look like this:
[gallery link="file" orderby="title" columns="4"]Any other ideas that I might try?

In reply to: Gallery with 82 pics bearks my site – is there a limitThanks to a friend I was able to determine that this issue was due to a limitation in my PHP.ini file. Increasing some parameters made the difference.

In reply to: [WP-PageNavi] Fatal error: Allowed memory size exhausted …Thanks for your reply scribu,
I only get the error message when an email is sent via contact form – so I can’t really test without Contact Form. I tracked down the conflict by deactivating everything and reactivating each plugin one at a time.
I am using PageNavi Version 2.74 and Contact Form 7 Version 2.4.6
Since prospective (and sometimes current) clients use the form Contact Form 7 will win if I have to choose. The biggest problem is that emails DO go through but because of the error message, the sender thinks it hasn’t gone through. Some some people have sent me up to a dozen emails, thinking it’s not sending. It ends up being a big headache for everyone.

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Fatal error: Allowed memory size exhausted …Thanks so much for your help. There seems to be a conflict with the plugin WP-PageNavi.
Thanks for your work on Contact Form 7.

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Fatal error: Allowed memory size exhausted …Is there anyone who can help me with this? It is causing a huge amount of confusion as many of my clients use the contact form to reach me. Any suggestions are welcome at this point…
