In reply to: Line Breaks – fixed in 2.5?Try them in the HTML window and you should be fine?
From what I understand, it has something to do with the added ‘salt’ protection. I’m left to suspect that if there is no salt, it will use the existing password, but once RC1 touches it, the salt changes the hash and a new md5 is made?
This is just a 100% guess, so don’t quote me here…
Try…
Opening your stylesheet…
Find “cat-item” …
add…
“padding-left: 20px;”

In reply to: Tag cloud of a specific categoryAs it stands currently, it appears none of the packaged _tag_cloud functions allow for descriminating based on category, which is a good suggestion for the milestone roadmap if this hasn’t found its way there already…
I think this would be a pretty straight forward modification that could be quite useful…. I would also like to see page specific categories and category specific pages myself; throw all three of them together and we’ve got quite a party! ??

In reply to: Text widgets not updatingDid you post it on trac?
I am looking at Trac for the first time right now, and am just familiarizing myself with it to ensure I post it in the correct spot/format, but I suspect that I will if no one else does. ??

In reply to: Thumbnail Quality Is TerribleMaybe it’s just me, but the thumbnail quality of what I’ve used on 2.5 appears to be a good balance between file-size and quality…
I agree it wouldn’t be a bad idea to make this a variable in the admin panel, nor would it be all that difficult to do looking at the panel itself…

In reply to: 2.3 to 2.5 password hashing?Well, for you to test it yourself, your best bet would be to add a user, set the password, change the salt, and give it a shot…
The only way that I could see that it *should* work would be to save the salt at the time in the users table along with the password and other information. A quick look into the database should show us if it’s there or not, but unfortunately I can’t check mine from work…
I can check back later this evening and let you know though!

In reply to: Text widgets not updatingHmmm after further review, I noticed that if I edit two or more text widgets at the same time, that only the top one will save when I click “save changes.”
In my opinion this circumstance doesn’t happen too often, but it is certainly a bug.

1.) Don’t forget to click the “save changes” button.
2.) The text widget doesn’t clear anything, and neither do the h2’s for the sidebar, so either change your CSS or add a<div style="clear:both;"></div>
at the end of your text to force whatever is after it to not overlap it.
