Afetr an hour of poking around I figured it out – needed to add “default:1” to the tag.

Now the obvious next question:

Is there another plugin available to make a post “Sticky” that does not break my blog?

So…isn’t there anything else that works? I seem to remember David Chait had a plugin like that too, but it’s not listed as working with 2.1 either.

Maybe I’m missing something but I thought maybe I could use:

if (is_home())
{
// list cats here
}
continue with additional sidebar content…

And have it only show on the home page (where the blog resides)

But that doesn’t seem to work for me.
