Actually, I hadn’t but noticed about an hour ago that when I activated the ‘Illustratr’ theme—without using my child theme which had virtually nothing in its CSS—those extra items disappeared.

Weird! I’m going to take a closer look at that CSS file and see if there’s some error in it.

I would usually tend to do stuff like that with CSS, but I was certain that there’d be some built-in way.
The lack of documentation on these—admittedly free products—is astonishing.

Same with the Jet-Pack-enabled Portfolio Content Type.

And is using the ‘Read More’ tag/break the way to stop all the rest of the post’S content displaying in there too?

And I presume that to stop ALL of the project’s contents from displaying with the thumbnail, I should insert the ‘read more’break before all of it? It’s the only way I’ve found to do it.

One thing I don’t understand about that. It seems to be saying that ANYONE with a WordPress.com account can sign in to my self-hosted WP sites — maybe even as a ‘user’.

Am I misunderstanding Jetpack’s jargon?

Funnily enough, when I’m in the dashboard of my .com blog, and I click ‘SWITCH SITE’, the system shows me all 3 of my self-hosted www.ads-software.com sites.

Weird. I wonder if at some point, ages ago, I responded to a prompt to link them all together in some way?

Hi There,
I didn’t see any reference to the domain in the wp-config file which was in the root of the installed site.

And I can’t find the wp-options table. I suspect that may be beyond my expertise.

My host provider are being arses about this. They installed it for me because the automatic script wouldn’t work. Now they want me to pay to sort out whatever it was that they did.

Should I use the IP address + index.php instead?
