In reply to: [AccessPress Store] Child theme and parent theme look different@amritshrestha I am sorry but the issue is there. Here is what the website looks like with parent theme activated- Parent theme
Here is what it looks like with child theme activated- Child theme
Notice in the second screenshot as I labeled everything that the 2 black arrow boxes are missing from the child theme along with that grey bar that has a red line underneath. I am not sure why that is or how to fix it. The black boxes and grey bar only go missing when child theme is active.- This reply was modified 5 years, 9 months ago by johnnyr860.

In reply to: [AccessPress Store] Child theme and parent theme look different@amritshrestha Thank you again for reaching back out to me. I will do the steps to create the same file and have it added into the child theme. Now the last thing we are having issues with is this. Notice the screenshot right under where it says Canada and new products you see the grey bar with the two black buttons on the right.
It is missing from the bottom part of the screenshot. This bar only goes missing when we activate child theme. When we activate the main theme the bar shows up. We have already checked all our wordpress settings and could not find the proper problem or fix for this. We believe this is due to the body tag having an additional apwidget_title class. Not sure how to fix that.

In reply to: [AccessPress Store] Child theme and parent theme look different@amritshrestha Hi thank you for replying back to me. I have changed everything in the child theme to look like the parent theme and it works great however I have a question.
If I need to edit the accesspress-functions.php file that is in the wordpress editor would any changes I make to that file be updated and removed when wordpress or the theme updates even though I have child theme active? I cannot find accesspress-functions.php in wordpress editor when child theme is active.
Also I changed the name of my website under settings- general however the site name still shows in my browser tab as Winsun USA and not Winsun Canada. I have already cleared my history, cookies, and cache and even tried private browsing and it still displays the wrong site name and tagline. I checked under appearance- customize and found customize- general setting- site identity and also changed my site title and tagline in there but the tagline and title do not update on my website either. Any ideas? Thanks I appreciate the help.

In reply to: [Customizr] Can't seem to change footer colorWell I don’t know what it is about wordpress and customizr coding that my site just doesn’t like but either way this one finally did the trick. A lot of times when I copy and paste code from the customizr site onto my custom CSS box that came with customizr it just doesn’t work on my site. But at least I am all squared away for now. Thank you for the help ??

In reply to: [Customizr] Can't seem to change footer colorI just tried that. All it did was change the color of the text from black to red which is not what I wanted. I am trying to change the footers background color not the footer text color.
Thank you for all your help this did the trick perfectly! I appreciate it ??
Thank you this works perfectly. But the only thing I still have is that grey bar I can’t seem to get rid of that divides the menu from the slider. I was trying to get rid of the entire bar but I’m not sure since I can’t get the coding that supposed to hide it to work.
Well the thing is I want to get rid of the border. I don’t like the grey bar on my site in the header so I wanted to get rid of it and the code you gave me doesn’t do anything to get rid of it.
The code from the link you just gave me that I just checked out centers the menu but not on sticky on scroll. With sticky on scroll when you scroll the page down the menu shifts itself back tot he left and the menu even pushes itself down more instead of staying in the same height alignment as before sticky on scroll.
Not sure how to fix those,
No sorry I was referring to desktop view only. If you notice on the page when viewed in desktop view the logo is aligned to the center. I went into the customizr settings and in one of the drop down menu’s it gives me the option to select where I want the logo to show and I selected the one that says align center and then saved my settings. This caused the menu to display underneath the logo as you can see from desktop view which is exactly what I want.
However if you proceed to scroll the desktop page down you notice the logo moves from align center to align left and it even shrinks in size and the menu even moves next to the logo instead of being right under it like it was before. What I am trying to do is make it so I can use sticky scroll on desktop but keep the menu and logo in the same alignment they aree without the menu and logo shrinking or moving to align left.
No unfortunately nothing is working and I just realized I gave you the link to the wrong site. I am working on 2 sites at the moment but the one I wanted to fix the header problem with is here.
As you can see everything resizes when I scroll down and the menu bar moves from where it is even the logo moves itself from center to left alignment which is not what I want. Then we have that grey bar that aparently I found out when I change the background color of the body of my site the bar changes to the same color as the body background even though I did insert code that I used before to have it hide and it is not hiding. But I checked out the link you posted and the code did nothing for my menu bar. Not sure on this one.
Sorry I forgot I’ll do that right now thanks.
Oh wow it’s amazing how one little error in the coding can mess up other codes and functions too. Well but at least I got it to work now. I appreciate the help ??
Thank you unfortunately I did as you said and corrected my errors but the code you gave me did not fix the issue the bar still shows up. But I was able to get rid of the breadcrumb. Not sure what else could be the problem since I have not messed with any of the other files in the child theme editor.
