Forum: Plugins
In reply to: adding script on in function wp_enqueueWell, there’re numerous plugins for image slider. But What I want to achieve is to have image slider functionality across multisite at theme level, I would not need to install & activate the plugin for each sub-site.
Therefore I would make edits at common theme rather than installing a pluing.Thank you.

In reply to: [Theme: Twentytwelve] full width headerI already have child-theme & I’ve partially changed the theme as per my likings.
I’m sorry but, which core php file are you talking about? What is the file name?Forum: Networking WordPress
In reply to: migrating server of multisite buddypress siteOK. The issue resolved.
I had to correct my wp-config.php file where value of current_site was https://domain.com instead of simply domain.com.
define( 'DOMAIN_CURRENT_SITE', 'domain.com' );
removed https:// & now all pages/network is loading fine.

In reply to: migrating server of multisite buddypress sitePS: If I use recommended WP3.4 htaccess code The site give 500 error.
If I use WP3.5 or later recommended htaccess code, the site atleast shows frontpage, posts & dashboard.
(But inner pages & network doesnt work, give 404 error.)Forum: Networking WordPress
In reply to: migrating server of multisite buddypress siteSorry, since I posted it from mobile I couldnt write it in detail.
It’s a wordpress multisite with subfolders & I followed same htacces code recommended by wordpress When I built the site (back in 2012 June) I suspect it was WP 3.4. Still I tested both codes.
The website (link) is at nascent stage only 3 posts & 1 main blog.
I now enabled mod-rewrite on my new apache2 server
sudo a2enmod rewrite
& set wp-dashboard permalink structure as /year/month/postnameI’m sure it’s multisite issue, as I can browse around individual blog-posts, frontpage & dashboard. But all pages, multisite network, buddypress is showing 404 errors.

In reply to: 508 Error, Resource Limit Has Reached?!Do you have multisite WordPress setup on shared hosting? You should upgrade your web-server configuration. You surely need more power.

In reply to: 406 not acceptable errror[update]
I disabled pluggins, and themes (earlier). and
I changed my userid from ‘admin’ to something different. Yet I see same screenshot I shared in 1st post.Apparently when I log in using another userid subscriber/ editor’s credentials, I see everything in dashboards loads perfectly.

In reply to: 406 not acceptable errror@seacoast Thank you for trying to help & apologies if my tone sounded harsh. (maybe it’s b/c English is not my native lang.)
I suspect it’s more like issue this guy had= https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/406-not-acceptable-error-while-trying-to-login
& this is the suggested note https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/brute-force-attacks-and-wordpress
But I dont know what action I should take to rename ‘admin’. Should I use phpmyadmin to rename my superuser login name?Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: 406 not acceptable errrorI dont think if it’s anything to do with pluggins or themes. It gives 406 error if I’m logged in. Front-side of the website also shows same error if admin is logged in.
