I just manually placed all the old uploads in a custom folder: wp-content/uploads/uncategorized and went through all the post to correct the links. Repetitive work, but now my wp-content folder is nice and clean…

Just trying out some new themes, which is why the avatar is gone at the moment. The search field is visible in other themes, just not my old one which is where I want it :s

I mean, my theme supports widgets – otherwise I guess the rest of the stuff in the sidebar wouldn’t work (like “Recent Posts” and stuff like that).

The search widget is activated, but there’s just nothing there. Why?

Okay, I used to have a regular search field over the avatar in my sidebar. After i upgraded to the latest version, the search field disappeared ?? I have no idea how this could’ve happened, since I didn’t mess around with the code at all.

I could post some of the relevant code here, if that could hep you guys give me an answer to this mystery? Maybe the sidebar code?

Anyone experienced the same?

Surely this must be fixed somehow. There must be a lot of people with this issue and the desire to clean up the root of the content folder.

electrolund – Not the way I wanted it too. You can’t put a custom time & date stamps on the images you upload through the Add From Server plug-in. Not from what I know though.

It’s just important for me, that the old images I put into the new folder structure, can have their original time & date, so they won’t appear as newly uploaded, if you know what I mean.

I’ not getting any stats either, and I know that my blog pulls a fair amount of traffic.

I just tried adding the <?php wp_footer(); ?> to my footer.php

My footer.php file now looks like this:
