SO STRANGE,

The thing that’s really tripping me out about all of this is when I use the same exact theme on a local test version of the site (with MAMP), **without any special ai1ec single file** it works PERFECTLY.

This would lead me to believe its not the theme (or at least the situation we thought it was with the ai1ec single file).

So then I go back to the live site and switch to twentyeleven, your plugin works fine.

I upload a second “fresh” (unedited) version of my chosen theme, and that one doesn’t like your plugin either — on the live site. Switch back to my special edited version: same issue (while twentyeleven works).

So then I tried disabling ALL plugins (except for yours)

same issue.

So…
1. if the theme i want works with your plugin perfectly on my local test site (MAMP)
2. if it doesn’t work on the live site
3. if twentyeleven still does
4. if the presence of other plugins doesn’t seem to make any difference

what could possibly be the issue?

Thanks for that explanation. I’m assuming Susan’s question about narrowing specific problem areas in the file is probably too hard to answer (every theme likely being unique in that sense)?

but at least you’ve given me (hopefully all of us) a better understanding of how we might troubleshoot it.

I’ll let you all know if I have success, and how.

for me, i just went into the plugins area in my dashboard and scrolled to where it showed the update-available notification for this plugin…clicked “update automatically” (possibly not exact words)

updated successfully but did not fix this issue. i don’t think it was supposed to. My sense is that Yani is still working on it.

still doesn’t work for me, although i don’t think Yani meant this particular update would fix it

sglee2120: by the way, i checked out your site and yeah that’s EXACTLY how mine looks (the problem, that is…not the whole website obviously lol)

I’ve been having this same exact problem, posted about it on the seed site before the comments/bug-reports section was removed in anticipation for the coming update.

I’ve tried disabling all other plugins: no luck

I’ve tried creating other test events: no luck

I see manajoe has been brave enough to try switching themes already to no avail.

Hopefully this gets resolved, since this is the one plugin with exactly the right mix of what I need…if only it worked.
