In reply to: [The Events Calendar] This WAS our go to – but NO MORE…@aguseo We’ve actually been working Santiago on one of the sites, and while he has been stellar in his support and work, this simply should not have happened.
Just today I am dealing with 6.0.6.1 which has once again broken almost all the sites in which we run TEC. We’ve lost revenue with dozens of hours of time spent making fixes, nursing migrations along, and dealing with angry customers. (50+ sites have this calendar installed.)
Worse, it has made us look bad in our community, as we manage many high visibility websites. This is going to cost us significant business.
I don’t care how slick and “helpful” the new system is, there is no way that ANY features offered can mitigate what I’ve had to go through since the 6.0 release.
Unfortunately the calendar is too integrated into some hi visibility sites to just dump it. We’ll be forced to rework sites to use another calendar – more lost development time.
This upgrade is the “New Coke” for The Events Calendar.

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] This WAS our go to – but NO MORE…Yep. We are searching for another solution for sure – we’ll have to replace it on over 100 sites. But if another solution is stable, it’s worth it.
Sadly, we used AIOEC many years ago, and they went through similar problems, and we had to move away from them. It was the same scenario. They released an “upgrade” that pretty much killed the product for us.
@tedslater It’s not showing anything… I’ve tried to set it for shares only, etc.
To keep it from reading zero all the time, I set it to only show anything after 1 like. So far, nothing, and it’s been over 24 hours.
Frustrating… I can’t find another plugin to simply hosw the share count.
I switched over to sharedcount.com, and I am getting no new share counts on my site. (jonbius.com)
For example, this page shows an old count (20): https://www.jonbius.com/2017/08/01/ak-interactives-148-spitfire-mk-ixc-eduard-rose-name/
If I enter the URL at Sharedcount.com, it shows 92 as of this posting.
I use no CDN or internal caching. I’ve gone through all the troubleshooting tips on the plugin site.
I even white listed the URL through Sharedcount.com.
Does anyone have suggestions?
I understand that full support only comes through the paid version, but at this point, I’m not thinking buying the full version is prudent.

In reply to: [Timely All-in-One Events Calendar] Updates break things; lack of stabilityThanks Jeffrey. I appreciate hearing from you. We still have the plugin installed on 35+ sites, so I will be able to evaluate stability based on those sites. I do hope the excellent stability of the pre-2.0 plugin can be achieved. As I mentioned, I believe your plugin to be the best in terms of features, and usability. Yet as you well know- you’re in the hot seat!- the stability of a plugin is critical. If it were one or two sites, I could probably massage things enough to handle. But with around 200 WordPress installs, remote management is essential, and the upgrades have to be pretty much bullet proof for any plugin we use. With nearly a quarter of our sites using AIOEC, a hiccup on the upgrade compounds very, very quickly..
I look forward to seeing 2.2! I’ll let you know how it works on our sites.
Thanks again for the reply, and have a great day.

In reply to: Visual Editor Not Working in WP 4.1Yes, birdog123, it sure did! We’ve since encountered a few more instances of that, and it fixed things straight away when we removed that code.

In reply to: Visual Editor Not Working in WP 4.1Here are the lines I removed from my .htaccess file.
RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} ^[^=]*$
RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} %2d|- [NC]
RewriteRule .? – [F,L]The site I had the problem with was on Pair also.
HTH
OK- we found the problem. I have no idea how it relates, but I thought I’d post it here.
The provider we are on had added some lines to the .htaccess file a few years ago as a “fix” for something…. it has not been a problem until the 4.1 upgrade.
We had the site I originally posted about that had this issue, and another. Once I removed the line from the .htaccess file, the problem resolved itself immediately.
So -happily, it’s resolved, and is not a plugin conflict or anything else. I have no idea what all these lines mean, but hopefully it might be useful to someone.
Here are the lines I removed to resolve the issue:
RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} ^[^=]*$
RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} %2d|- [NC]
RewriteRule .? – [F,L]OK- checking that. Thanks!

In reply to: Visual Editor Not Working in WP 4.1I’m having the same issue. I upgraded from 4.0 to 4.1 on a multisite install. The visual editor does not work on any of the sites.
Here are the steps I have taken:
- disabled all plugins- didn’t help
- changed to default theme- didn’t help
- Upload fresh copies of wp-admin, wp-includes, and all root files (with the exception of wp-config.php)- didn’t help
- I even tried uploading copies of the 4.0 wp-admin, wp-includes and root files, but that didn’t help either.
Unfortunately, my copy of the DB backup did not happen correctly. (Long story…. my failure though).
Is there any fields/values in the DB that would affect the display of the visual editor?
I’m having the same problem. We use a plugin to update our plugins across sites. So I had this happen.
160 times.
And we normally enter the UA code manually. Even if I delete it, add the code back, etc., I still get the same warning.

In reply to: [eShop] Stuck in PendingI’m having the same issue. When an order is placed, eshop shows it as Processing, and does not take the order out of inventory. I’m at a loss as to what we should do.
