In reply to: [Like-Button-Plugin-For-Wordpress] Missing all OG tags now!Ran the cleaner and this worked afterwards
I tried the Linter and it has me as the admin, so the admin link should appear after I like the post, but it doesn’t.
The image gets fed directly from Facebook, so I don’t think that’s the issue. If you’ve already like something, the Like button looks like a “ghost image”. Is it possible, that you already Liked the page/post somehow?
Haven’t heard this before?
That did the trick. I disabled Disqus and then the tabs worked fine. I made my changes and reenabled. That’s a bit inconvenient, but it worked. Thanks.
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Another one with broken permalinks after 3.1 "upgrade"I should probably also add that I just realized that this doesn’t seem to affect all of my posts, but rather only a select bunch of posts from early 2010 and 2009 and a handful of posts that had categories added to them (like this: https://www.doseofdigital.com/social-media/page/2009/09/if-you-charged-for-your-content-would-anyone-pay/).
And another thing: I did a little testing and figured this out. If I go to the posts where the links are broken and open the box to edit the hyperlink (which looks correct in this box) and click update (without changing anything else) and then save (update) the entire post, the links are fixed.
However, I’m now noticing I’m getting category type errors too that consist of my category then “/page/”. Like this: https://www.doseofdigital.com/in-general/page/2009/09/if-you-charged-for-your-content-would-anyone-pay/ No idea how to fix this.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] [Plugin: W3 Total Cache] CDN not working for new imagesThe solution from @matsan worked perfectly.
Hints: the link you need to click to clear the “unsuccessful file transfer queue” is way down at the bottom of the list of files. Also, don’t forget to clear the plugin’s cache.
No idea what happened, but all the links are now updated and working fine.
Is this done? I’d like to exclude a link to a video so people can open it directly on YouTube instead of on the page (an alternative for people using iPhones, since you can’t load the video in the Flash version that loads with lightbox).
Thanks,
JMRNevermind…got it.
I actually uploaded the directory and files while in AWS. That didn’t work. Instead, add the path “wp-content/uploads/shadowbox-js/*” to the Custom file list box on the CDN settings.
Towards the top of the CDN settings page, check the box to host custom files and click the upload button.
Clear all the cache and it should work.
I’m having the same problem and tried to create a directory in the CDN (cloudfront/s3), but it’s not working. Any insight on how you got this working? Do I need to make any changes to the settings on the cache plugin CDN page (custom file list, etc.)?
Thanks
Frederick,
Thanks again for the feedback. I’ll make this change.
As for manually exporting, do you mean that I have to resize outside of WP and then embed the images or is there someway to upload the ones resized in WP?
Thanks,
JMRUpdate…did a little testing on the images not showing up and found that when I used the WP scale image tools, this issue occurs. When I resize before importing to WP, then the images show up fine.

In reply to: [Sharebar] [Plugin: Sharebar] Alignment of buttons in vertical sharebarPerfect fix. Thanks.
Too bad the plugin is now broken in IE. Your fix didn’t cause it of course.

Could WP 3.0.1 upgrade have caused this?

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] [Plugin: W3 Total Cache] High hopes, but no effectI’ll give that a try. I had auto-upload option on. I’ll try to upload everything else again.
Also…
I still have an issue with having no expires on a lot of content (mainly images). I’ve set expirations for everything in the browser cache section, but that doesn’t seem to do anything. Should I be doing something different?
EDIT: Upon further inspection, now it looks like the ones that aren’t expiring are theme files (images). Does this plug in add expires to these too?
And…(sorry)…
Can the plugin to gzip for plugin files (css)? Seems like some aren’t.
Thanks for all your help.
