Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: How to play audio on my site and play music app at the same time?Certain mobile apps will let you play two different audio sounds at the same time; TSP Timer and Pandora. The programmer of the Tabata Stopwatch Pro Timer (an iOS and Android app) told me it was because:
“We don’t really have any specific code for Pandora or any such music service in the app, audio is capable of playing in parallel just as a function of how iOS works by setting the correct Audio Session category and not much else.”I’ve found discussion and iOS/Android code for allowing two different apps to “set the correct Audio Session” and play audio at the same time.
Is their a way to “set the Audio Session” with html and allow a website and a mobile app to play sound at the same time? Is there anyway to make the audio in my website not make the music app stop?
I’m not sure if this was the fix but, I used the WP Fastest Cache plugin to exclude “all pages.” Initially, this didn’t fix the issue, but when I checked the site later in the day it worked (maybe there is some sort of delay)?
Next, I’ll try only excluding the UM pages (again) and see what happens.
This issue can be marked as resolved.
Thank you Champ!
Now, without changing anything, the “logout” and “your account” are missing after the user logs in.
Previously I had removed the cache from the um pages but it didn’t work. Do I need to clear use cache too?
I didn’t change anything, but now my site now shows “your account” and “logout” when the user is signed in which is correct. The site also shows “you are already registered” when the user is signed in, which is correct.
Now, the problem is, when the user is signed in, they get redirected to the register page when they try to view dailycrosstrain.com/warmup-video/. This is not correct, users that are signed in are supposed to be able to see this page.
It seems that problem keeps bouncing around. Any ideas? Again, everything works fine in incognito/private mode.
I am still having the same problem after I tried excluding the following UM pages from the cache:
https://dailycrosstrain.com/user/, https://dailycrosstrain.com/account/, https://dailycrosstrain.com/login/, https://dailycrosstrain.com/logout/, https://dailycrosstrain.com/register/, https://dailycrosstrain.com/members/, https://dailycrosstrain.com/password-reset/
Clearing the cache of these above pages did not resolve the issue. So, I put the cache back to how it was before, currently, no cache is being cleared.
Even before I cleared the cache of the above pages, my problem of certain pages not connecting after login now works. It seems to resolved itself on its own. Also, when I go the registration page after logging in, it says “You are already registered” which is correct.
Currently, my only issue is after the user logs in, the login page does not say “Your account” or “logout” (like it used to say before).
Also, when I view the site in Private Mode on an iphone or in incognito on the computer, everything works fine.
…my site works flawlessly on an iPhone when viewing it in “private” mode which I assume is like incognito.
What do I need to do to make my site work in the normal browner? Is it a cache issue?
…this site is only viewable at mobile size. It hasn’t been made responsive for computer or tablet yet. Also, I am not a coder, but I can follow directions.
So if anyone reads this it is because you are not a true developer like me.
Anyways, All I had to do was:
Got to Ultimate Member > Settings > Access > Global Site Access – Site accessible to logged in users > Custom Redirect URL – Login Page (but your can redirect anywhere you want) > Exclude the following URL’s – Exclude any pages or elementor pages that you want not logged in user to see
I hope this helps some other simple-brains like myself.
Totalsoft, what is the best way to have :15 second video’s automatically repeat? Should I upload the videos to something besides YouTube?
