Okay, thanks. So just to be sure:

If I set settings to block all bots to no: not any bot is blocked, whether or not these are enabled or disabled in the individual bots tables.

If I set settings to block all bots to yes: the bots that are enabled in the individual table are blocked, those that are disabled in the individual bots tables are not.

Small update: just googled my site in a incognito session in Chrome, and another visit using my phone, where I’m not logged in. Both visits are logged as coming from my own website’s IP.
I’m going to guess this will be something theme or wordpress related, so no need to do anything with this, but just wanted to let you know.

Yeah, it is a static IP. Thanks for the insight. Guess I will add it to the exclusions.

I have actually already confirmed that some outside visits would be logged as from my own website. I see visits to a post a recently spammed on some boards, logged as the website’s IP, but with different OS and browsers.

My settings exclude robots and myself, so I guess at least some of that traffic is actual outside visitors.

If you happen to have any smart suggestions on how I could improve the way these visits are logged, i’d be happy to hear it. Otherwise I will just use it as is.

It’s the home page that has the bulk of visits. Nothing particular.

Put another though: is it possible, or likely even, that some of the traffic registered with my own website’s IP is actually human visitors?
If it is always just website processes, I could just as well exclude it.

Ah, nevermind.
I looked around for half an hour, then posted this, then realized it’s the check-boxes for custom fields in the editing screen.

Still not working for me. Updated, now getting a slightly different error now. Opens in a blank screen rather than at the top of the plugin page.

Ok, thanks. Would be appreciated. Plenty of plugins that allow you to export tables, but haven’t found others that offer the same functionality. Most just allow core tables (or just the users table even) and/or export to sql format.

I’ve googled a bit more and seems there are more plugins that had the same issue. Explained as being caused by a change in the way WP accesses the database. See e.g., here

With this plugin not updated for 7 months, that may be the issue.
Could anyone report if the plugin works for them on wp 4.4.2?

Well, i need to login to cpanel, but from there, not once more to get into MyphpAdmin. I believe that is entirely normal.
And yes, I also believe the plugin says it cannot access the database.

The question is: what could i try to fix it?

I guess I was just really to tired already last night. Honestly did try whatever I could think of before I posted here. But; yes, a tab with categories in the central area of the screen is exactly what I want. I have that now, which is an improvement, but it is still a big list to scroll through in limited screen space.
One fix would be to have the categories tab have a multi-column layout. I have no idea how difficult it would be to change that. I also understand its more of a feature request rather than an error report.

Just to be clear, I would like my category tab screen to be laid out as this:

sorry, written a bit unclearly.
I am trying to export data from tables to csv. A sheet is downloaded but it contains only the error codes listed in the first message.

I tried switching all plugins off and trying again. If I do so, no sheet is downloaded anymore, but the error code is given in the plugin screen itself. Slightly different (see below).

Again it seems to say the problem is the plugin cannot get access to the tables. That is funny because I can do this manually. I can go into cpanel, open MyPphManager, and view and export the tables myself. The username is the one included in the error code, and I do not need a password to login to MyPhpManager.
Is that more clear?

Apologies, I simply misunderstood the purpose of the plugin.
I thought a new tab e.g., ‘categories’ tab would give me a screen or at least editor window sized view of the silly big list of categories I have. So that I dont have to squint when I go through 3 pages of categories in window measuring 4x4cm.
Guess i just have to look for something else.
