In reply to: Please help. PHP issue???I have the same issue – php 5.2 breach, move to php 5.3 with clean backups and get the error establishing database connection.
It’s not the config file – I’ve gone through that with a fine tooth comb.
I’ve also removed all plug ins and just had a fresh wordpress 3.4.1 and still get the error establishing database connection which makes me think there is a root wordpress compatibility issue.

In reply to: how to get sites to work with php 5.3??Thanks, but I’ve removed all plugins, removed theme and went to one of the default wordpress themes – and I’m still getting the ‘error connecting to database’ – if I drop my server back to php 5.2 the site works just fine, but if I move the server back to php 5.3, I get the ‘error connecting to database’ message again.
My wp-config.php file is correct, I’ve redone the password for the database user and still can’t get it to work.
Anyone have any other ideas or in a similar boat?

In reply to: Does Contact Form 7 work OK with 3.0?Just a quick note that the latest update resolved the issue for me. Form submits fine and gives client message that the message was sent. Thanks for the update to this great form.

In reply to: Does Contact Form 7 work OK with 3.0?I also get the never ending spinning arrows. I have tested this on firefox only. I have wordpress 3.0 and most current update on CF7 – all was working fine until the last upgrade on CF7.
I still get the client email, but they think the form hasn’t submit. There are no error messages, just the nonstop arrows.

In reply to: Can’t loginI’ve tried all the fixes with no success…I’ve renamed the plugin files, changed password through phpAdmin, tried different browsers, did a fresh install, and even tried installing old back ups – none would give me access. My login page would just keep reloading and not doing anything, and not giving any error messages.
Then I found this script for emergency wordpress login – and it worked like a charm…

In reply to: Error in the installation of WP.I have the same error.
PHP is on.
Originally had an empty database, but figured out how to manually set up the database tables, but regardless, this error doesn’t change when I go to https://www.mydomain.com/wp-admin/install.phpMy wp-config.php file is configured properly – and I’ve tried various databases/users in case there was an issue, but none of it changes.
Any help would be appreciated…

In reply to: Failed 2.6.1 Fresh installI have a different error – but also no database tables, so I ran the sql posted by skot123 and still no change (although I do now have tables in my database).
My error when I go to https://www.mydomain.com/wp-admin/install.php is:
