Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Gallery Captions below Images (not inside) with GutenbergMany thanks to @sbloom for opening this thread and to @kimball31 for the great proposed solution!
You guys helped a lot!
Like others, I also think that a native solution for this should be offered (to display the caption below and outside the image).
Thank again!Greetings @nikitaanisimov
Thanks for the new message.
As you suggested, I am sharing in the attached link a screenshot showing that TAB navigation does not open a new window on our site. The file is on google drive and the name is
“jao screenshot tab issue 08092022.JPG”
So, when I accessing a photo from the gallery using TAB navigation, the photo opens in the same window and keyboard navigation stops. And I can only go back to the page “Servi?o” by clicking on Chrome’s back button with the mouse (indicated in the screenshot). That is, if the person is browsing only by keyboard, she/he will not be able to leave the photo and return to the original page, not even using the ESC key, only using the mouse.
Thanks again!
Screenshot showing that TAB navigation does not open a new window on our site.Hello @nikitaanisimov
Thanks for the recommendations!I did what you suggested, but the console doesn’t record the problem that I indicated as an error (I don’t know why), but it keeps happening.
I noticed that when I mouse over a photo it opens a URL and when I navigate using the TAB key it opens another URL and crashes. For example, the “jardim-de-inverno-600×400” photo navigating by mouse goes to:
https://ideiaverdejardinscriativos.com.br/servicos/#bwg14/143And when I navigate using the TAB key, it goes to this other URL and crashes:
https://ideiaverdejardinscriativos.com.br/wp-content/uploads/photo-gallery/jardim-de-inverno-600×400.jpg?bwg=1659711454We ran these tests using two browsers and the result was the same: Chrome version 103.0.5060.134 (Official version) 64-bit and Firefox version 103.0.1 (64-bit).
We are working with WordPress version 6.01, PHP version 7.4, WP Accessibility plugin 1.9.1 and Photo Gallery plugin version 1.7.1.If you have any other suggestions, we’d appreciate it.
Thanks!I would appreciate if anyone has any guidance on how to solve that error. tks.
