  • Well, for anyone else who comes across this thread, I will post my solution (since nobody else did).

I used the P3 Plugin Performance Profiler which revealed that the site was being slowed down dramatically by the Jigoshop Smart Coupons plugin by Store Apps. It was causing such slowdowns that it intermittently threw the internal server error.

I disabled that plugin and everything worked fine again!

I ended up deleting it and purchasing a newer version of the plugin directly from Jigoshop, and that is working properly.

    Hope this helps someone.

I am having this exact same problem on DreamPress, with the random/often internal server error.

Can you tell me what you discovered? Did you find the cause? Any solution? Did you switch hosts?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

    Hi Eric,

I have not wanted to devote the time necessary to install the latest updates on the dev server, test everything to make sure nothing broke, and then update the main server. So I’m a little behind at version 1.13.2. Here’s my system info.

    Thank you for clarifying!

After reading your response, I removed the Google Analytics Code which I had inserted into the site theme, so now Jigoshop should be the only thing inserting the tracking code.

Unfortunately, since then, even though we’ve received some orders they are still not showing up in our Google Analytics reports!

Are there any other troubleshooting steps we can take to figure out what’s going wrong here?

We are happy Jigoshop customers who have bought several premium modules. Thanks for your continued support.

    Hi Michael,

Thank you for your response. I just saw this now because I didn’t get email notification of your reply even though I had enabled that option.

Anyway, I already have the Google Analytics ID set in Jigoshop. I must not have been 100% clear on that in my first post. Here is a screenshot:
    https://screencast.com/t/SGQpPamjI

Are you saying that if I use the Google Analytics tracking code throughout my site, as I have done, then this will conflict with the way Jigoshop tracks orders on the “Thank You” page? So if I want Jigoshop to correctly track sales, I cannot have the tracking code inserted in the theme of my site to track all pageviews?

That’s the indication I get when you say “the proper way to use Google Tracking is…”

    Thanks again for your help.

    Thanks Amadeusz,

I downloaded the zip of 1.10.3 from GitHub, and tried to install it by going to Plugins > Add New > Upload. Now I have two copies listed, and I cannot activate the new one because it gives the following:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare jigoshop_admin_toolbar() (previously declared in <redacted>/learn2/wp-content/plugins/jigoshop/jigoshop.php:184) in <redacted>/wp-content/plugins/jigoshop-1.10.3/jigoshop.php on line 228

So I tried to delete the new version so I could just upload it by FTP instead, and hopefully replace the old one that way, but when I tell it to delete all files and data, it just goes to a blank screen and doesn’t do anything.

Thankfully I’m doing all this on my clone/test site. What is the best thing to do now? Delete the jigoshop-1.10.3 by FTP? Then re-upload the contents to the main jigoshop folder under wp-content/plugins?

    Thanks.

    Josh
