One of the classes define the site as 1684 x 1957. that’s why the pink background is visible. If you zoom your page smaller, you can see it both on the left and right side of the page.

In reply to: CSS Nube: are there WP theme CSS core/standard elements?Toni,
As far as I’m aware there is no standard list of selectors for WordPress, however some theme developers utilize Bootstrap, which provides a set of standardized method/selectors to use.
I would suggest that the primary method to locate the selectors would be to use the developer tools in web browsers to determine the selectors and their syntax, e.g. Google Chrome’s Developer Tools.
Depending on the theme and plugins you use, some CSS are stored in the theme folders, and some portions could be stored in the plugin folders. The Developer tools would be able to provide you the link.
Hope this helps.

In reply to: I cannot view my sub-sub-menuHi eponeill,
You can check the navigation structure of your site. From your dashboard, head to Appearance > Menu. You can add or remove links over there.
Hi lawlessmjl,
Not sure whether this would fulfill your needs, you can create a custom field on the homepage using the Advanced Custom Field plugin and then use the Post Object field to post a particular Post filtered by taxonomy.

In reply to: Change Title of specific section on home pageHi Pimmesz,
If I understand correctly, you would like to change the color of the featured post title that appears on your homepage?
There are some plugins that are available that enable you to customize it, try doing a plugin search on “featured post” and select which would be suitable for the framework/theme you use for your site.
Cheers!

In reply to: Which Themes Should a Beginner Use?Hello abracadabra2015,
I can understand your predicament, was in similar position myself when I started as there are tons of information and recommendations that could be found online.
As you are new to WordPress, may I suggest you explore with the free wordpress.com so that you can get a feel and be familiar with the platform and terminology used.
Then you can progress to see which framework would suit you, maybe Genesis or Thesis or some other. It is good to work within a framework as it separates the “skin” (or most commonly known as child themes) of your website from the engine that runs the wordpress site. Some considerations beyond the beautiful themes that they produce, do consider:
1. Support – Is it still being supported by the framework/theme developer? Check our their support sites and forums.
2. Pricing Strategy – Some require yearly subscription, whilst others require a one time payment. There are also free themes!. Pick something that fits your budget.
3. Security/Update – Is the framework and theme being updated frequently and consistently?
Hope this helps!
