Issue fixed with 4.6.6 update. Thanks! John

I am having a similar issue. During the CSV import preview the flags for Map Link and Event Show Map are set as 1 and to import (same as I’ve always had). But after the import the maps do not show, and when I edit the event both boxes are unchecked.

    Thanks,
    John

I am having the same issue. My imports for the last two months are not saving the values. For some time now I’ve used “1” in the CSV file but now they do not save. This seems to have started since the recent updates. Running WP 4.7.2 with Events Calendar 4.4.3

Quick follow-up: I created a text file and saved it as a *CSV using Windows notepad. It consisted of the following:

    Field1,Field2,Field3,Field4,Field5
    alpha,beta,gamma,delta,epsilon
    one,two,three,four,five
    AAA,BBB,CCC,DDD,EEE

It too failed to upload to the media library. “Sorry, this file type is not permitted for security reasons.”

However…. I found that if I place a .txt extension to my original .csv files, THEN it let me load them to the Media Library, and subsequently I was able to use those to import this month’s venues (groups) and events (blood drives).

So changing the extension to .txt allowed me to load/import the data files. I then need to access the main Media Library to see/remove them (since the Events Calendar piece of that just shows files with a *CSV extension.

It would appear there is something in the latest version of WP (4.7.2) which does not like files with a .csv extension….

To follow up on jimmythejam’s attempts, I just tried uploading the sample venues file provided by the knowledgebase site (https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/csv-files-options-and-examples/) and could not. “Sorry this file type is not permitted for security reasons”

Each month since May 2015 I’ve used the same process. The list is created in an Excel (2010) spreadsheet, and then saved as a *CSV file. Pretty standard. I also tried uploading an older file that had previously been added without issue, but again received the error. Something recent is preventing the upload of *csv files…

    Wordpress 4.7.2 Events Calendar 4.4.1.1

    Thanks,
    John
