Thanks Eric! This is a terrific and very useful plugin; I’ve used it to design many of the archives on our site. Good to know that it’s probably still compatible with later WP versions; we’re still on 4.7.3, may be updating soon.

Over three hours on, at step 3100. You can apparently close the page – it will prompt you to resume the upgrade later. No, that is not made clear when one starts the “upgrade.”

Same here. This is extremely irritating. Mine is at step 1436 out of, stupidly, 1436 (the two numbers are the same after every refresh) and counting, and it’s been going for an hour and a half. No indication whether it’s safe to stop it, or update other, unrelated posts. Other plugins do their database upgrades in the background – this one ties your hands for the duration.

Already emailed support, no response.

This is not good. I would never have updated the plugin if I knew this was in the cards.

I have the same question. This is an important plugin on my site and it’s preventing me from upgrading to 4.8.3. Please let us know if you’re planning an update.
