This is really p***ing me off. I’m having the same problems. Just hangs at crunching. What is the deal? I also have disabled all plugins, still no dice.

I’ve been having this problem as well and it’s been frustrating me. So taking the advice of someone above, I deactivated all my plugins… and one by one started activating and testing. Once I deactivated them all, uploading images worked again. So I figured it was a plugin issue. Long story short, I activated each plugin and tested it and after activating all plugins it still works! Like BigAL, it is choppy and acts a little weird, but it’s working. Not sure why deactivating everything and then reactivating it made it work, but it does… thankfully!!
