  • @caryngf – you need to use your ftp program like Filezilla, and go into your domain and wordpress installation location, and the wp-content folder. There will be a few folders and Upgrade will be among them.

Now, just deleting it without deactivating the plugins didn’t work for me, but when I did both, it worked, and it might have worked without deleting the Upgrade folder.

When trying to WordPress Autoupdate, make sure that you FIRST:

    0. Delete the Upgrade folder completely from your server
    1. Go into your Plugins page
    2. Click the checkbox above all of them to select ALL plugins
    3. From the pulldown, select DEACTIVATE, then OK it
    4. Try the update again – that usually takes care of the errors for me.
    5. Don’t forget to re-enable your plugins as in Steps 1-3

same here, I always had an admin theme and now I don’t after upgrading to 232, and also was told no upgrade was needed. How DO I get an admin theme?

Ok I don’t understand it, but I re-uploaded all the theme related files from the WP-admin directory (themes.php, the .css, etc) and now it works. So… do that, I guess and it should fix it.
