There had been no recent changes along the lines you’re asking about. I have not contacted the theme developers, as they have no way of being contacted unless you pay for the premium version, or at least none that I can find. Their support page is kinda blunt about it, too; https://presscustomizr.com/support/.
I’ll look into the header errors W3 found.
It looked like it was working fine in another browser for you because because I’ve had WPSSO deactivated since my last post. I only activate it now to test possible fixes.

No luck: it’s still blocking the dropdown.
Correction: I do have the latest release version installed already. I am (and have been) running v3.46.4
Only other info I can get at the time is that when I open the chrome inspection tool, look at the console, and click on a menu header menu item, this message comes up:
“Can’t Load URL: The domain of this URL isn’t included in the app’s domains. To be able to load this URL, add all domains and subdomains of your app to the App Domains field in your app settings.”Thanks for the quick reply!
I have not tried the release candidate yet, but I will soon. I attempted to enable WP_DEBUG using the instructions provided, but no error log has been created. I’ve added the Query Monitor plugin, and it only reports that I have WP_DEBUG defined twice (which is incorrect). It references the lines in wp-config.php that I added. It also tells me that WP_DEBUG is still inactive.
I’m still trying to find a way to contact the people at Press Customizr. I’m not sure pathway to support for folks using the free theme exists.

I did have it set to save locally.
I also looked at the write permissions for the uploads folder. They were at 755, meaning “group” and “public” did not have write permission, only “owner” had write permission. I just set it to 777. Would group/public not having write permission cause it to default to hotlink?
And here’s the “duh” moment: The site I’m pulling the feed from is http, and my site is https. So the browser is blocking the “insecure” external references.
The part the doesn’t make sense is I have these images set to store locally. In any case, I’m checking with the owner of the source site to see about making his site secure.
I’m not sure what did it. I’ve had them hosted locally from the start. In any case, thank you for the speedy attention!
And just now I refreshed the page after changing nothing in the back end, and the image is showing. No idea.
There is an
<img>
tag within the post. It hasstyle="display:none;"
on it, but commenting it out through the inspector does not make it show. When I also comment out thesrcset="...
part, that allows the image to show.- This reply was modified 7 years, 10 months ago by jpokines.
I should also note that the image shows up in the body when I go to edit the post.
The original post: https://billsnow.us/6-tips-for-maintaining-your-soloautox-car/
The original feed URL: https://billsnow.us/category/neohio-shared-posts/feed/Nevermind, I believe I’ve fixed it. In the feed settings, I checked the option to enable character encoding conversion. Then I deleted the original import and re-imported. Now we’re rolling. One downside: the image is missing from the post even though it shows as a featured image, but hey I’ll take it.
Marking this as resolved for others to find if they have a similar issue.
