I don’t think there’s any consolation for WP Crowdfunding users to know that their much needed updated plugin has to be delayed (and for how long?) to give way for other updates for other plugins… it doesn’t help, it’s frustrating and only diminishes the value of WP Crowdfunding and the time that its users have put into it.

One way to solve the issue is with the Themeum Crowdfunding Grid Element for the ‘latest’ and ‘popular’ options, because one can only either choose:

– One Category
or
– All Categories.

If there would be a drop down menu to choose from, whereby users could choose more than one category, then one could keep some categories out. It would also offer more versatility to users, as they can arrange the categories to show up according to wider themes.

This change would not take too much of your time and it would go a long way to solve the issue as there are other effective ways to keep categories out of Searches (where the ‘hidden feature is also meant to work).

Let me know what if you intent to bring any update soon as we need to take decisions on this soon.

yes, they stated in their reply that it should be fixed in their next update, but never say when that is likely to be… which according to other issues with them, is probably never…

One thing last … am i right to understand that with you, the crowdfunding got ‘hidden’ working?
The item didn’t show up on searches and front pages?

the campaign/product will be hidden if i show it as part of a Shop… But as a crowdfunding item (that uses woocommerce) does show up.

it’s the Catalog visibility menu. Even when ‘Hidden’, the campaign/product still appears on the first page.

In the meantime, i have found some code that stops the campaign/product from showing uo in searches… so some success… but really need the “hidden feature.

The Code you kindly supplied did not work, and created an error, even when pasting it in the Functions.php doc.

To your question “Do you want to remove this from the shop page or from where? can you explain, please” :

– I want to keep some campaigns hidden from the general public, so that only people with a link can find them. So, they shouldn’t show up on the public category results, or the front page, or in search results. In essence, what can be done with Woocommerce products. Hope that answers your question.

I’ve tested the feature with common Woocommerce products and it worked perfectly. However, it never worked with products/campaigns from WP Crowdfunding. That suggests that the issue is with WP Crowdfunding, and not with Woocommerce. Given that you are the authors of the plugin, maybe you should liase with woocommerce to fix the issue, or TheMeum could address the code, so that the ‘Hidden’ feature works.

I know i can password protect it, but as you know, that does not do what the ‘hidden’ feature does, which is the one i need. It’s a bit odd that some of those features work (password, etc) but not the hidden one. Is this going to be fixed?

no that doesn’t do it and this reply surprises me.

The idea is so that people who have the link, can see it (as you must be aware)

if it’s a ‘draft’, as you know, only admin can see it in the backend.

The ‘hidden’ feature exists for many good reasons. the function is there, but it is not working.

Can you tell me how to achieve this please?

the logs say the redirect is taking place… but it doesn’t seem to be correct. I’m loading the page from another computer, where i’m not loged in on the site, and it loads the home page rather then the coming soon page…

??
