Great plugin, does almost exactly what I want. Only missing a little adjustment in CCS because I use it as widget for country selector.

Exactly what I look for in a plugin. Does the job without bloat or needless complexity.

Has has the feature I needed without a bunch of bloat. Really slick short-code form. I ended up buying the Pro version because I liked the free version.

I hadn’t used this plugin in a while for my own projects, just been support other users with their needs.
This week a current project of mine needed a link manager and I thought, “Hey, I’ve seen one before”.
Worked like a treat. It was so nice to not have to design my project around a plugin and be able to just have a plugin solve a requirement that was already organically designed into the project.
Thank goodness this plugin kept to the basics over the years and didn’t become a swiss army knife of a plugin.

with the quirks, it’s probably just as much maintenance as if I had pages of links I manually entered.

The idea to enhanced the wordpress links section is good. But any implementation should at minima reuse existing features of wordpress (such as said link section) and build on it.
This plugin create a whole new system to manage link, totally incompatible with existing wordpress mecanisms.
I know that using existing features can be a hassle, but with wide used cms like WordPress, it’s the way to go.

This plugin does make link pages. Only thing is that it has verry little formatting options. Besides it insists to place a ugly dot in front of each link. Sorry to say I don’t use it anymore.

Ive been using this plugin well since practically the day that the default wordpress links manager would be removed the core.
really helps in in terms of wordpress migration.

This plugin does exactly what it says it will, and Mat (the plugin author) has been impressively responsive to my numerous questions and requests for changes. Thank you for all the hard work you’ve put into this!

This is a versatile plugin that the developer keeps up to date when new versions of WordPress are released and it looks like he resolves 100% of forum posts. I posted a question in the Forum and had my answer in three minutes! Thanks to Mat for doing a great job!

All in all this worked fine for my needs..*BUT* over the last 2 days I entered over 150 links. It was nice to be able to add things in like images and makes the link page more visually appealing. The problem arises when I need to change the link target for everyone of those. So its scroll down..change it..scroll back up and publish. I estimate it doubled my work time. So..two possible work arounds ( not a programmer just trying to be logical)
One: Cause the description box to open in min size instead of full so the link target is on screen without scrolling ..or.
Two: make it have a default setting in the drop down Screen Options so that when we hit *new link* it does not remove all our settings for our links input. Thanks for Listening

I can only recommend Mat for his plugin – and his advanced plugins for categories and csv import export.
He was always on top and fast when necessary, and updated the plugins according to my needs!
5 stars or more!

I really like this plugin because it does exactly what I need. Hopefully the developer will keep it up-to-date and maybe comes with some more features in the future. I think this pluging can be used for almost every purpose related to the usage of links. It is very flexible and gives you a lot of possibilities for usage one way or the other. I will probably buy the premium add-ons as well, it’s worth it.
Thanks very much for the good work!

This plugin is working great, the widget has some fantastic options, and when I did have a problem (user error!), the plugin developer was incredibly responsive on the forums.

I haven’t been with WordPress long, so had to do some research to find out how to add the discontinued blogroll. This is perfect!
REVISED: does not work as documented. Easier and more effective to simply code your own HTML for links in a text widget.

After being confounded by another links plugin that was just way too complicated for my needs I found this and this is exactly what I need and more.

Everything is ok with this plugin! Good work!

I had some glitches with the plugin. Mat worked them out and now the plugin works perfectly. I was looking for a simple way to turn my existing WordPress links into a simple web directory. This is excellent and with the support of Mat – it can only get better.
I did buy the extra add-on for more categories. It is worth it to me.

It is a great plugin…!

This ended a long search for a simple links plugin that wasn’t overdone but was effective. This plugin rocks!
The best part is that it takes on the styling in your theme so you are not fighting some other person’s CSS.
Great job Mat!

Nice plugin, which I would like even more, if the following feature was added:
Categories of the links may be hierarchically structured. Unfortunately, the category name is not displayed, neither a child category. One has to build up its own way to display nested categories.
Rating: 3 stars
There are many things to like about this plugin, I especially like
1) being able to display entries that don’t have links (despite the name). Useful for making non-linking lists (bibliography, people, etc.)
2) being able to create and display additional input fields
But it comes up short in a few important ways:
1) Can’t sort output by Category, only by Title or Random
2) Page display for an individual entry only shows the title, none of the other fields that have been created/entered.
3) It would also be good to be able to format each field displayed.
It would be much improved if it incorporated shortcode options as, or more extensive than the WP Blogroll Links plugin.
And the page display really should have options to display all (or selected) input fields.

Has all the features you need, is simple to use, and has a handy link ordering (drag and drop) feature.
+1 all the way!
