Thanks! I installed the plug-in and activated it, but I don’t see how to get it to show up on my website. Typically, when I install and activate a plug-in, it shows up as a widget, which I then can have displayed in different columns or sections on my site. But for reasons I don’t understand, it’s not showing up as a widget. Do you know why, or what I’m doing wrong?
    Thanks,
    John

Norcross, thanks. Yes, I activated another “sharing” plugin, because yours didn’t seem to be working properly. It was displaying twice.

I did check the settings, thanks. (Before your latest response, I’ll confess that I didn’t know where to look.) All four boxes were checked, and when I played with checking different combinations of boxes, the problems persisted.

I think the problem may be that I’m using a collapsable post/read-more function. So when the post expands via read-more, it seems that your sharing links show up twice.

In any case, this may be something you want to look into and fix.
    Thanks

Thanks, but the settings page is very generic. I don’t see anything in the Settings Page that would change anything. Can you be more specific? You mean the “settings” that are standard to all WordPress users?

Ah, of course! You are absolutely right. And so, this “problem” — one of my own creation — is now solved. Thank you!

    WordPress,
My trackback posts are still showing up as “anonymous.” Again, there is no reason for this other than a glitch or problem with WordPress. Please advise — thanks!

    Diane,
Thanks, but if I understand correctly, the “read more” function on WordPress requires you to “read more” on a new page. I don’t like that. I’d like a true collapsable “read more” function that keeps you on the same page. That way you can quickly scroll down and read further if you want, but without having to click back onto a new page.

The Daily Dish has this function, and it’s very helpful.

Question: do you know if a collapsable “read more” function is available on WordPress? I would hope so, but can’t find or access it.

    Thanks

    esmi,
Thanks, but I don’t understand what you’re saying? What is the TwentyTen theme? Are you’re suggesting that I might want to switch to an entirely different theme?

I have the exact same problem. I linked to a piece in one of my posts. That link is showing up as a trackback in the comments section of the aforementioned piece. However, the trackback is showing my post as “anonymous.”

This makes no sense to me. My blog has a name and a unique URL. So there is nothing “anonymous” about it.

The problem, of course, is that by showing up as “anonymous,” my blog isn’t able to build up a following and name recognition.

Please advise as to how I can fix this problem. Thanks!
