JNashHawkins thanks for the info. The update problem existed before I installed the newsletter plugin so that is not it. I have them looking into the problem for that.

I have run through all of the plugins deleting then reinstalled everything. it is not any of the existing.

I suspect it may be the theme because when I disable it and use the default, the update goes off.. However the theme is still there so it should say it needs updated which it did when WP 5.0 came out.

Yes I looked, and I also have the optimize database pluging that runs daily. I saw in another post you recommended to use “health check” plugin. I installed and ran.

In the health report I see this “A plugin has prevented updates by disabling wp_version_check().”

Yet it says “Your site has 26 active plugins, and they are all up to date.”

Any ideas as to why the conflict and what does “disabling wp_version_check().” mean??

No it dose not show on any list. Always 1 to update but nothing is there. In themes or plugins.

Yes I have checked for malicious files and no installs by my webhost.

Please disregard. I deleted the widget and reinstalled on the sidebar. that fixed it for some reason

Thanks, that did it for the font in the post. Green is still a bit small but folks can read it now.

However, I had to use “custom html” for the sidebar widget, with the short code, as there was no way to edit the newsletter widget.

One other quick question. On a less useful mail plugin. I had to install Easy WP SMPT. Since that feature is included in your plugin, and I have in configured and working properly, would it be safe to assume I DO NOT need that plugin any longer?

Ok now here is another weird one. I just set up a new user anticipating that you will need access to the WP-Admin. Some how it signed that new user up for the news letter! It is not supposed to do that!

OK I spent the last 1hr 25 mins with my host trying to figure out if it is a server issue. Changed the php version thinking that may be it. No luck. He had me install easy wp smtp to route it through my actual email account. No luck. We did get an error at GitHub. Is it possible that this Github is blocking my emails going out off server?

Here is another oddity. I have the plugin set up on another domain. Went to that domain and was going to send a test mail out to see if it was specific to the other one. Going to add my 2 off server emails, I saw that ALL of my subscribers were UN-Confirmed!

Only 40 or so, but all of them! So I used the bulk feature and re confirmed them!

I also added the two off server emails and did a test. It did not send the test mail to those addresses.

Well that is what I thought. I figured it was them blocking the plugin. They said that was not the case, nothing is being blocked.

You did not add a link. I assume it will be so I can send you login info?

Ok here is what I found. the plugin is NOT sending ANY emails to ANY domain off of my server. It will ONLY send emails that are associated with my reseller. I have 6 personal websites and can receive mail from the software to those email addresses. I also have 2 email addresses off site, one at Hotmail, and the other at my service provider, Comcast. I have tried numerous times and have checked the Spam Boxes at those, and there is nothing in there. I have also looked for bounced mails thinking they were rejected. Nothing has returned.

So I called my service provider and they looked to see if there was a problem. None found.

So, I did as you requested and deactivated ALL plugins

and it will NOT send any emails to off server domains!

Thanks. That would work for ME, but I need a default in WordPress to convert several different font styles and sizes. I get people complaining about the font size.

Hey Markus Froehlich. I guess I did not see your reply 2 months ago and forgot about this question I asked.

I have many “Pages” that are published on my website and have them in a Hierarchy so I can’t covert them to “posts”. I was WordPress ignorant when I converted over and should have just did all posts.

Anyways, I need the ability to make a “page” a sticky and have it show on the front page. Right now I can select the said “Page” but it will not show up as the sticky. If I convert it to a “post” it will show but that screws up the other page links under that parent.

So can you add the ability to sticky a “Page” like you can a “Post”????

The sticky does NOT show up in the “Pages” area, just in the “Posts” area.
