Hi, it seems that the new release doesn’t fix the bug in comments and the “activity post url”.

Hi,
I switched from superclean to forced and I have got a couple of times a “502 bad error white page” on the first loading of the admin page on desktop. At the second loading of the page, it was loaded properly.

… then later I cleaned and preloaded the cache.

It worked.

I switched again on superclean… and I cleaned and preloaded the cache again and it worked too.

So, I can suppose that It was necessary to clean the cache on wp-rocket.

wp-rocket creates separated caches for mobile and desktop. Recently WordPress and the Woocommerce Canvas Theme released new updates. Maybe, the cache was the problem.

Anyway, I have seen this problem because a facebook user told me about it. I had no chance to check it intentionally by myself.

the problem with the comments described here:

… really needs a fixing. it is one of the worst visible bugs.

Two things have a negative impact on the users at the moment:

1 – the problem with the comment explained
2 – the impossibility to open the mediapress post when a user receives a notification for a new comment.

These 2 things are pure fastidious for the users.

Please work on these things.

Thank you. I had missed the changing of the View settings ??

For example, the Column Chart on the top of the page works in the right way for this specific topic. The label is in the right place.

This kind of problem is independent of the chart used. It happens in some cases but not in others.

If you had the option to get the single activity page that shows the comments, it will be great.

I have seen also that the redirect to the gallery and not to the single activity page keep the notification like always “Non-Read” and not as “Read”.

It is important that you fix soon the problem of the [read more] on comments. It impacts the users. They are not able to read the hidden part of the comment.

Another strange thing that I am experiencing is this:

I upload images. Then during the upload, I write my post. If I spend too much time to complete the post because it is long etc. When I push the Post Button. The post is published without images. Then I have to republish it again. So, I start with a copy and paste of the written post, upload again the images and publish the post in a short time. In the second tentative the publishing happens with success.

New thing.

If a user publishes a post in the Site-Wide Activity Stream adding images when people add comments, clicking on the notification link they are sent to the gallery of the user who published the post.

The url is something like this:
../mediapress/wall-photo-gallery-2/?nid=2740#activity-9894

So, why is the user not redirected to the post in the activity stream?

I tried this in this situation:

> The user added a post + images in the buddypress activity stream.
> I added a comment.

4. We do want to work on it but there are some issue.
– The media can be uploaded from activity and in this case we do think that deleting activity should delete the media
– The gallery uploaded media can be published to activity, in this case, we believe activity does not have primary importance and we should not delete the media on activity delete.

This is good for me.

Because the cleaning of the BuddyPress posts comes from the deleting of the Activity Posts. Just like BuddyPress allow to do using the admin interface.

So, if I post on the activity stream and I delete the post, this will delete the image also form the gallery. that is good.

If I upload images to any gallery. It is a different process that could not directly involve the Activity Stream, even if the notification of the upload is showed like a post in the activty stream.

I have found a “bug”. I don’t know why, but the mediapress affects the [readmore] link on the comment added under an activity post. I tested only posts with pictures attached, until now.

It seems that there is tag not properly closed.

I add a long comment. Then, I make a refresh. The result is that I get something like this:

I have seen also another bug that affect the humburger menu on the woocommerce canvas theme menu on the mobile page sizing.

Maybe you cannot reproduce it. But is caused by the mediapress.

ONLY when you open the buddypress activity page on mobile sizing (max-width: 600px) the menu is not properly positioned.

Anyway, this caching problem….. is difficult to fix without removing the captcha added by the security plugin.

Any suggestion?

I tried to add a comment now, to my latest post using the Chrome Anonymous profile and I see that the captcha is cached, now that I installed wp-rocked caching plugin.

Indeed, I get

Error: You entered an incorrect CAPTCHA answer. Please go back and try again.

The captcha to every reload of the page is always:

two X 4 =

uhmmmmmmmm :/

This is a different problem. This new problem could confirm that the anonymous comment I receive are spam.

I received an empty comment just now. the email says:

It is waiting that I moderate it.

I don’t know what to do and I don’t understand why I receive such comments.

I have 7 IPs blocked automatically by the plugin. But this problem with comments seems something different.

Now, I am going to ask people to add a comment on any one of my blog post, to make a check from IPs different than mine. To see if there is a real problem or not.
