I receive very well the notification from buddypress that is in the same wordpress installation.

Now I don’t receive the emails sent using wp_email(), like comments and jetpack contact form.

Before to install other plugins I would understand if this problem could be fixed by wordpress (if this is a bug) or if there are fixings for the new wordpress release.

Another details that I can give you is that I use a plugin to allow users to add a blog post in their own Favorite Section of the website.

But this is only a feature that work with the blog posts and custom posts. It has no visible implication with buddypress.

@sthib … Great Idea. It works.

I am thinking also about a solution for pagination with sorting descendant of course.

    Hi,
    I have this error message:

Error type: "Forbidden". Error message: "There is a per-IP or per-Referer restriction configured on your API key and the request does not match these restrictions. Please use the Google Developers Console to update your API key configuration if request from this IP or referer should be allowed." Domain: "usageLimits". Reason: "ipRefererBlocked".

I tried in many ways with my API Key, but I didn’t find a solution.

    Can you help me?

    Kind regards

    Hi @nitun,
With the latest release of the plugin I am experiencing that it causes some problems with buddypress.

In practice, the Activity Stream Filtering doesn’t work anymore. There is no way filter the posts in the stream of to filer mentions, groups posts and any other thing.

    It is a big problem.

Before the latest release, the plugin worked properly.

I didn’t open a ticket because I asked help directly to the buddypress support to understand the problem.

At the end the problem is just the rtmedia plugin. Deactivating the plugin, the problem doesn’t happen anymore.

Here my Support Request on BuddyPress:
    https://buddypress.org/support/topic/hidden-group-posts-are-public-visible-in-the-activtiy-stream/

I hope that there will be a fixing with the next release of the plugin.

    I update you.

Also with the theme Twenty Fifteen the problem was visible.

Then I tried to edit again the shortcode string manually and tested again. I have seen that it worked.

So I checked better using the “Inspect” feature of Chrome and I have seen this in the string:

    [activity-stream&nbp;allow_posting=1 title=0 per_page=6]

In practice the new WordPress 4.4 for some reason, is not able to parse the string and use it properly.

Instead the WordPress 4.3.x parsed and filtered the string Properly.

In practice the wrong string worked properly per months using the old wordpress.

the same mistake was also in the official site, probably inherited by the copy and paste of the string.

    Now it works properly.

Of course the problem was not visible using the visualbox and textbox of the wordpress editor.

Thanks for the support. you made me realize what was the problem.

anyway it’s strange that if I use ONLY

    [activity-stream allow_posting=1]

    it doesn’t work

    BUT

    if I use

    [activity-stream allow_posting=1]
    and this
    [activity-stream]

together in the same page, both works.

    (@jscmal)

No, I am not using a page builder for my pages.

    I have:

    WordPress 4.4
    woothemes Canvas Theme 5.9.10

    Nothing more.

The page shows only the feed from the shortcode. The rest of the things are in widgets added in the 2 sidebars.

I can try to check if it works with the wordpress standard theme.

    (@jscmal)

    Ok … I made a new test…

If I use these together in the page:

    [activity-stream allow_posting=1]

    [activity-stream]

    The shortcodes works for both.

If instead I use only this:

    [activity-stream allow_posting=1]

    Alone ..It doesn’t work.

    What can I do?

    Thread Starter jscmal

    (@jscmal)

    Wait….

I don’t know what’s going to happen now!!!

But strangely now it works in my test website, after some tempative editing and saving the page.

Now, I try to make the same thing in the official website.

I just saved making this test:

    <div id="bp" class="widget">
    test 1
    </div>

    [activity-stream?allow_posting=1]

    test 2

    [activity-stream]

The problem was experienced in both website just after the upgrade to wordpress 4.4

    (@jscmal)

    Hi,
    I give you more details.

1 – The plug in is still active. It was never deactivated. The short code in the page where it was working before to upgrade to wordpress 4.4 not is not showing the activity feed.

2 – The same shortcode from the plugin, inserted in a widget for the sidebar, instead is continuing to work properly as it always worked before to make the upgrade.

    3 – What I have checked:
    – using this [activity-stream] in the page, it works properly.
    – using instead the options in the shortcode, like these:

    [activity-stream?allow_posting=1]
    [activity-stream allow_posting=1 title=0 per_page=6]

strangely the shortcode doesn’t work and the page shows just the shortcode string.

I have these details. I hope these can really help.

In my website I use this shortcode, in the page and in the widgets:
    [activity-stream allow_posting=1 title=0 per_page=6]

    What can i do?

    Kind regards

What is the function of the compat.php file?

    Thread Starter jscmal

    (@jscmal)

Dough Smith … it is related with this topic because it is a consequence of the Worpress 4.4. upgrade. Just like the problem with the breadcrumbs.

Here we are talking about how the upgrade affected the woothemes.

My Canvas Theme is showing these 2 problems.

    Thread Starter jscmal

    (@jscmal)

I see also another problem in the Canvas Theme, with the slider in the Magazine Template Page.

In practice, the images in the slider are not properly re-sized vertically. In practice the image goes hidden at left and right

    did you experience this?

In my opinion disable Jetpack and his services is not a good thing. If I have to choice, I prefer to disable the breadcrumb that is not really relevant (in general).

    I need JetPack! …
