In reply to: WP 3.1RC2 – "publish" module in new post module won't toggle openI’ve isolated the problem as not being part of WP 3.1 RC2, but rather a plugin. I disabled all plugins, and am selectively activating them to try to recreate the problem. If and when I discover the cause, will post here. JS

In reply to: Require Once ErrorThe YouTube video from ldtips is a very clever workaround – and it’s been useful for me. However – today I’m getting the “require once” message and, even with all plugins disabled, I’m still getting it.
Any other thoughts/suggestions very much welcomed.

Very happy this question had been asked. I think the “dot com” suffix in the plugin’s title might make some people assume it was limited to the WP hosted sites.
Thanks – for both question and answer.

In reply to: WordPress 2.8: Visual editor (articles and pages) is goneI think we’re all having the same problems – but since the results of fixes vary – perhaps they’re occurring for slightly different reasons.
I installed 2.8 in a sandbox site – worked fine. But I used my host’s (BlueHost installation/upgrade app – Simple Scripts – to do it. Worked fine – so I went ahead – and without thinking that there might be a difference – installed 2.8 via WPAU (WordPress Automatic Upgrade) – a fantastic plugin – which has never caused me any problems – and saved me lots of time.
The WPAU install is the one where I had the loss of visual editors. The fix was to reinstall 2.7.1 over the 2.8 install, and then upgrade via Simple Scripts.
My question – is it possible that all of the simultaneous downloads of WordPress 2.8 via WPAU – all hitting the same servers and/or mirror sites – caused some of the downloads to be incomplete?
Just a thought – perhaps it explains why it happened to some people and not others in similar/identical circumstances.

In reply to: nextgen gallery loses functionalityI’m getting a problem- after using NextGen for a couple of years – can’t create new galleries.
I guess I should check my other sites, too
And see if I can add images to old galleries.
Hmm.

In reply to: “Fatal error …. dashboard.php on line 13”Do you think I should start by deleting the current template – and then plugins? Seems a reasonable strategy.
Thanks for the thought.
