I want the base shipping to be $6.45. So on the settings page of the ‘WP Simple Paypal Shopping Cart” plugin I put 6.45 in the Base Shipping box. In the tutorial video for the plugin it said you have to put some value in for the shipping to trigger it to insert the base shipping costs you choose and it used “0.0001” as it’s amount to trigger the base shipping costs so that’s where I got that from.

I did review the tutorial videos for both setting up shipping costs and creating a product display box and that’s where the above shortcodes came from.

What is a cache plugin? and do I need it?

The shortcode for the shipping I’m using is:
[wp_cart_button name=”Test Product” price=”29.95″ shipping=”0.0001″]

The shortcode for the product box is:
[wp_cart_display_product name=”test” price=”10.50″ thumbnail=”picture URL” description=”birthday card” shipping=”0.0001″]

however, when I put in the picture URL it inserts the actual picture on the edit page but not the preview page and no display box appears on either page.

I’m sorry but I don’t know what a “cache plugin” is so I don’t know if it’s installed. I installed the “WP Simple Paypal Shopping Cart” plugin.

Ok so now I’m obviously sleep deprived and which only adds to my sadness over how hard I’ve worked on this blog only to now have problems with the theme when I’m ready to publish my very first post ever.

So to summarize my is the color of the widgets on the right side bar are brown and they are suppose to be green.

Second, I’ve noticed that the linen texture to those side bar widget titles as well as the brown background of the theme page is gone. I know that Jay said earlier that the side bar was an image I wonder if the linen texture is the image. Could a downloaded plugin have caused these problems?

Please help me somebody. I’m wondering if I need to uninstall wordpress and start all over. I’ve already tried uninstall and then reinstalling Scrappy and it didn’t work.

OK I’m still up working on this and I’m back to my original problem of the side bar widgets being brown instead of green as in the theme.

So I get that the side bar widgets are an image but how do I get them back. What do I type into the child theme.

I have even bigger problems now. Now from my WP admin view if I go to customize everything looks great but when I go to actually view the site its all text without any of the theme formatting.

I’m desperate. Please help me someone.

Apparently I can’t even resort to drastic measures because even when I delete the scrappy theme and re-install the same thing is happening.

Please someone help me. Any ideas. What do I put in the child theme to get the image and color back.

I guess I’ll have to delete everything and start again I don’t know how to get the original background image and color back for the side bar and the brown is too dark.

I tried making a child theme and copying and pasting the info from the site you gave me and the info above and if failed. Don’t know what to do at this point.

I have never used a child theme before. This my first time at starting a blog and I’m finding the learning curve steep and slippery. ?? Can you walk me through it? n I’d greatly appreciate it.
