I did go to the support forum but I read before I posted that I could expect 2-3 days response time for support if I wasn’t a pro member. I couldn’t wait that long. I just did it another way and had it completely done in about an hour.

I see you have many good reviews and I’m sure they are deserved – it is why I tried the plugin. But the free version wasn’t any easier or faster for me than other methods I’ve used, plus it failed the import on my client’s site for whatever reason. ?? It’s an honest review. People need to hear the bad experiences as well as the good.

Never mind, I found another plugin that works perfectly.

Update, yes I was hacked. They locked me out using an htaccess file in the wp-admin directory. Fixed and case closed.

Well, in case anyone lands here with the same problem, after digging around I was able to resolve this using the solution here:

The problem/solution is over two years old there, but I suppose it depends on when your host decides to upgrade past php 5.3 – it seems the problem shows up at 5.4 and beyond.

This just happened to a second site after the php upgrade. It breaks simple sidebars on some (older) of my WP sites, but on most it is fine. The ones that are breaking are up to date, but the child themes are older, not mobile responsive. Can this be fixed?

Thank you for your prompt reply. My project was on a deadline so I just placed the widget in a configuration that worked and left it at that. The client ended up liking it that way. ??

Yeah, if I understand your question, everything is working fine in the back end.

And I understand that any fix is temporary. I’m really hoping the developer will update the plugin to be compliant before too long. ??

Thanks so much for being willing to help troubleshoot this! I too missed the trailing semi-colons. I adjusted the code and also changed the other two lines of find_video code, but still am getting the gallery not found message.

I’ll keep an eye out for further developments and will see if I can find any other info out three. I am also happy to test out any theories. ??
