I need to do the exact same thing. Have a user restricted to adding posts in one category only.

Would be super helpful to know exactly where to identify the “correct” URL. I am trying to hook up to an existing page. The instructions are not clear as it seems to be assuming you are starting with a new page.

No, I did not have the “lock files” set to yes.

I’m having the same problem. Not only did a user suddenly gain access to all groups, but the checkmarks are greyed out and I can’t remove the access in the user panel.

OK, I found the answer in the documentation. For anyone else who has this problem, you can find several ways to get back in and fix the problem here:

After a quick DB backup, I used the “Edit functions.php” choice and it worked quickly and easily.

I’m not positive if this is your problem, but I find that using the Google ad sidebar widget, that I do not automatically get results for the domain in my Google reports. I have to give the ad a custom channel name, which then shows up in my reports.

Yeah, what happened to the great drag and drop widgets? Did someone consider this new system an improvement? Geeeez.

crysacraig: Nope, don’t have to scroll sideways on a 15″ screen, but I can only see down to the 1st paragraph of your actual content. Can’t see the book graphics which are an eye catching way to pull people down into your content (and money making area)

Of course, that may be just a personal preference. I think of a header as an introduction to the content and believe it should not overpower the content. I still struggle to keep my own headers to a reasonable size. ??

How do I find out? There is no Read me file in the folder. It’s one of the themes in the WordPress theme directory. I went to the site of the submitter, but can’t find any info on license there either.

Boot up my PC? Eeewwww ??

Actually I found one I like just as well, and it downloaded fine. Not sure what the difference is but some work and some don’t. Go figure.

Just to clarify one small point here about adding adsense to your OWN sites. Though it does not state it in the T&C that I can find, in their FAQs Google states:

“There’s no need to open another account or notify us when you place the AdSense code on a new site…”

I know that does not answer the greater question, but does take one point of debate out of the ring.
