In reply to: [WordPress Popular Posts] Could use some help with wpp shortcodesIt worked great Hector, thanks as always for your quick response and help.
Hi, yes, worked like a charm. Facebook counts are back, thanks very much for your help!
Hi, thanks for your reply. Yes, all shares appear normally in the sharecounter tool for any given url from my domain.
Just to point out that I am testing the free version, so it’s not clear from the documentation if old shares would be displayed. However even with new articles posted after installation of the buttons no total share count appears (or individual share icon badges if I activate that option). Or does the free version not support display of share counts at all?
Hi Elvira, I’ll give it a try and report back if the issue persists. Thanks!
Great, thanks again Sybre!

In reply to: [AMP] Strange issue: Paragraph break removed in AMP version of postMany thanks James, I’ll give it a try
Hi Sybre, thanks I’ll check it out.
One more thing: We recently installed the AMP extension to The SEO Framework, is there any way to test that it’s working? Should we be looking for a specific indication or is it set and forget? Thanks again.

In reply to: [AMP] Strange issue: Paragraph break removed in AMP version of postNo blocks I’m afraid, as I mentioned before the theme creator hasn’t updated for Gutenberg yet. So we’re forced to use the classic editor plugin unfortunately, no option for nice blocks for now.

In reply to: [AMP] Strange issue: Paragraph break removed in AMP version of postNo, just a theme shortcode [dropcap style=square][/dropcap] from the editor. Unfortunately the theme hasn’t been updated by the developer for Gutenberg so we’re still using the classic editor plugin until they update it.
There is an option in the theme settings called ‘make first paragraph larger’ (i.e. as a summary paragraph) but toggling that on or off doesn’t seem to have an effect on the problem with the amp pages. Hope this helps, and thanks again.

In reply to: [AMP] Strange issue: Paragraph break removed in AMP version of postHi James, ah yes in fact most of our articles have a drop cap on the first content paragraph. It never occurred to me that might be the issue. Is there a workaround do you think or do we have to omit them? Many thanks again.

In reply to: [AMP] Strange issue: Paragraph break removed in AMP version of postHi James, thank you for your reply. I’ve just submitted all the relevant info on the private form you linked to. Many thanks in advance.
Hi Elsa, thank you for your reply. Let’s hope ??
Hi Elsa,
Not sure I’ll get a response to this but here goes: It’s now been a month and a half that I reported this problem and it’s clear that shares not being displayed is an AddThis issue, not a Facebook issue. We’ve installed other competing platforms and shares display just fine.
TBH We’ve invested a lot of time in setting up AddThis across our site and that’s why we haven’t uninstalled it (yet), but the lack of / inaccurate Facebook shares etc is hurting our social proof. We have articles with thousands of shares in Facebook debugger that show no shares in AddThis or wildly inaccurate numbers.
We’ve sent numerous follow ups to your support email that have gone unanswered. I realize AddThis is free, and if you’re planning a plugin update sometime soon that’s fine, we can wait a bit, but if your parent company is planning to abandon the plugin then you owe it to users to let them know.
Thanks in advance.

In reply to: [WP Responsive Recent Post Slider/Carousel] Sort posts by last modified dateOk Ketan, thanks for the quick reply.
Hi Elsa, thank you for your reply.
We have fixed the Bit.ly issue as per your instructions. However, Facebook shares continue to be a problem as posts with thousands of shares show no shares at all on the share buttons or, in cases where they do show, they are completely inaccurate. Is this still a Facebook issue or something else?
Many thanks in advance,
