Never mind, I worked around it by increasing the number of “blog posts shown at most” in WordPress Reading settings.

THIS IS STILL NOT RESOLVED. I have to deactivate the Advance Dewplayer plugin in order to add images to a post or page in WP. PLEASE ADVISE ASAP.

What version are you referring to that is compatible with WordPress 4.0? The “add media” button still doesn’t work when the Advance Dewplayer plugin is activated. It says on this page that you support WP v 3.9.2. This is taking way too long to resolve. I would like to get a refund on my purchase of the “Pro” version.

Thanks for fixing the disappearing play button–please tell me what was causing the problem. I’m assuming we need to wait for the new version to come out to eliminate the conflict with this plugin and the “add media” button…?

I actually purchased the pro version of the plugin thinking it would solve the issue, now can’t use it at all because it is not compatible with WordPress 4.0.
