In reply to: [Yoast SEO] How hide / noindex a specific pdf file?@amboutwe Thank you so much. That’s what it is, my settings for ‘Redirect attachment URLs to the attachment itself?’ are set to Yes, as it’s the recommended setting.
But I can’t remember changing it recently and the Yoast SEO meta box used to still be available.
Anyway, I temporarily set it to ‘No’, chose noindex for the files that I wanted and set it to ‘Yes’ again. Do you think this is ok and will keep those noindex settings for those files while not screwing up the rest of my gallery? Thanks a lot for your help!
PS any idea if Yoast SEO is coming back even when the redirects are set to yes?Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Yoast SEO] How hide / noindex a specific pdf file?Hi, can I re-open this? I used to be able to noindex media files like this: but now that option isn’t showing.
I tried all the solutions listed above, but I still can’t see Yoast edit screen. In any media file ‘Screen Options’ I see a lot of boxes I can tick (Discussion, Comments, Slug, author, and Easy Social Media Share Buttons), but not Yoast. It’s visible and enabled in Dashboard ‘Screen Options’, but not for media.
My question is – is this option still available on the most recent version of Yoast?
In Yoast Search Appearance/Taxonomies I only have the following options: Categories, Tags, Format, Portfolio Tags, and Portfolio Categories. Nothing related to Media files.
Any idea of how to enable Yoast settings screen to appear for images and pdfs in Media Library?
Thanks in advance for your help.
@t-p On your own site you mean? I asked people to look at my site and they aren’t there…
I’ve asked my theme developers more info and sent them the links you guys provided here. So hopefully they’ll find a solution…
It seems that several functions of my site aren’t functioning properly after this update, not just the check boxes.@t-p Thank you for more info. It seems that this update screwed up so many functions on my site… So much not working… ??
What do you mean by ‘it shows up for me’?@logologics Do you know if this plugin does this – block the non-functional cookies?
@dfactor So as long as they don’t answer (or say no) no cookies are placed at all? Not even analytics?
What about cookies that e.g. affiliate links place – if people don’t answer and continue to read your site, then click on any affiliate link that places cookies, then it’s not really ok legally?
Is there even a way to do this on all-in basis???
Thanks@dfactory – does this plugin force the consent? So what happens if people say no or simply don’t answer at all? Also, does it pop-up for all site visitors or only those who are in the EU?
Thanks a lotForum: Plugins
In reply to: [YUZO] New update (5.12.40) issueExactly the same issue here. 11 11 11 on the top of the post… Very annoying. Will have to restore the backup or deactivate plugin till this gets solved.
Hi Ryan, Thanks for your help. I think I sorted it all out.
Thanks again!Hi Ryan, thanks for looking into this. I cannot attach a screenshot, but you can see what I mean if you go to Gmetrix and check the speed of my site. Under YSlow you can see the warning ‘Use cookie-free domains’ and there it shows that all the images on the front page (=all images on the whole site) are served from WP.com. Here is the link – not sure if it works, otherwise you can check it yourself (site is https://fullsuitcase.com). https://gtmetrix.com/reports/fullsuitcase.com/i62mA8Mp
Thanks again!

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] The images on this page are missing alt tags.Hi there, I have the same issue too – all my images have Alt tags, yet I get a message that SOME of them are missing. I am not doing anything different for the images that are ok, but somehow only some Alt tags are recognised by Yoast.
I see in the forums that this is an ongoing problem and I’m not the only one encountering it. Does anybody have a solution?
Taco, in your reply above you said that this problem should likely be solved on SEO 3.1. I’m using the latest version of WordPress and Yoast SEO (version 3.1.1).
Thanks!
