I did so and other languages work. So already thank you – I think I can just use English GB instead.

I added the code but couldn’t follow you on the second step because I did not find such file in the directory. Or it would only appear if there was an error?

Should I try something else or will we just leave it at this? I guess I’ll have to go over all the gallery images and change the language but I can live with that. ??

Ok, I did delete and reupload the files but it didn’t help. I refreshed categories section when I had deleted the files and all the flags disappeared. When I uploaded those files back again everything was the same and still not working properly.

Now that way it also doesn’t work.

And I tried editing category without language. I set it to English and started the translated name in Latvian. It appeared but when I hit “update” it shows “category updated” in upper left corner, but nothing changes.

So still no luck with this.

I am able to add new categories and it works fine with Latvian, but if I set them to English they are made but don’t have neither the plus sign nor the pencil in the table. And if I add an English translation to a category that is in Latvian the translation appears but without the two signs in the table – you can see how it looks around 0.22 in the video I added.

Not sure hot to do the re-install. So just to make sure I don’t screw everything up. I should go in filezilla (that’s what I’m using), delete all files from this folder wp-content/plugins/polylang update the site and then upload them again?

And if so do I just download the files that I have in the folder and upload them back again afterwards?

Thank you for helping out but no luck so far.

I deactivated all the plugins except Polylang and switched to Twenty fifteen and still nothing changed. I also re installed wordpress from dashboard->updates, but also nothing.

Any other ideas?

I’ll try to explain better.

I would like to have two categories with different posts in them.

I have added English categories(at least they are supposed to be) to menu now and I can’t choose it to be English or to add posts to these categories.
I don’t see any categories for posts that are set to English. The categories that I create for English don’t have no symbols – neither the pencil nor the plus sign.

Default language – Latvian – is working fine.

So I found that I have localized both “Read more” and “By” but they don’t display when I change the language. Should I change something in the code? Or overwrite it in child theme?

This is the code I would like to change.

I have translated the rest wit poedit but “read more”, and before post author “by” still remain. Poedit dosen’t find them as strings and I can’t find the string in php files. Am I missing something very simple? Or is it done on purpose so that the theme can’t be fully localized and people would buy pro version?

Hope to hear from someone because I have spent several hours going through old forum posts and trying to solve this small issue.

Hi, opajaap have the same problem, but the fix didn’t work because the Big Browse Butons (Table II-19) was already off.

Any clue what I could do?

Tried turning it on and then off again but that didn’t work ??
