I wanted to post back with the solution. It seems that my hosting company was incorrect. Last week all of my websites and my hosting account were upgraded to EasyApache4. For some reason when they did this they also downgraded all of my sites to PHP 5.6 – when I tried to put sites BACK to PHP 7.1 – this is when all of these issues started.

I just got off a chat with my hosting company (InMotion) and they had to go into each of the 5 sites and increase their memory limit to 512 MB.

Here is what I was told: I added this to the wp-config.php file:
define(‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘512M’);

Then I was told the reason this needed to happen was: “WordPress is a heavy software to run, yet it defaults to a small memory limit. The number and combiniation of plugins running on these sites required more memory from the system and wordpress had to be set to allow for this. Newer versions of PHP require more from the system, that’s just the nature of sofware upgrades. Newer software uses more from the system no matter what software it is.”

This sounds fishy to me — especially since these sites were running with all of the same plugins, the same WP versions, and running on PHP 7.1 BEFORE their upgarade…If anyone has any insight, I’d be very happy to hear it.

I’ve also sent a message to support for this – even though they will only help those who have PAID for their premium plugin. This is obviously a bug in their software and I think we all deserve a plugin that works and they need to stand behind it.

Thanks for the answer. I’d like to keep this question open in case someone else, who is using the plugin and has created a billing account, could give me some specific real time information of their own experience.

It seems that the only way to use this plugin is to have a “billing account” set up with your Google Places account. I can get this plugin to work right now, but only ONCE A DAY – after that the error message: “Google error: You have exceeded your daily request quota for this API. If you did not set a custom daily request quota, verify your project has an active billing account: https://g.co/dev/maps-no-account More recently, Google has limited the API to 1 request per day for new users, try to create new Google API key, save in the setting and Connect Google again.” comes up and I’m locked out until the next day – as you can imagine, this makes testing next to impossible.

I’m trying to determine – and I’ve read through dozens of Google pages – how much could this plugin potentially cost. I think I’ve read that once you get a $200 credit when you set up your “billing account” and I think that credit is each month (not sure on that one).

Has anyone done this? Can anyone share any insight on the costs and/or potential costs? I’m wondering if anytime I go into make a change (because right now, every time I try and made a change to the shortcode, I have to re-enter the Place ID) – am I potentially costing my client money?

The problem with that is – I am the web designer, not the site owner. I would have to be logged into their Instagram account to do this. The access tokens that I used were given to me from the site owner themselves.

Question – could I simply log into to my Instagram account – but not display anything from my Instagram account and then just use their individual user IDs to display their feeds?

I don’t understand. I am the website designer, so I am not logged in to any of the Instagram accounts of the owners of the site. Please give me clearer directions on what to do:
1) I installed the plugin.
2) I go the settings page and enter the user token for one of the owners of the site.
3) I generate a shortcode for the first owner of the site (the one who’s access token I entered). Their feed shows up fine.
4) I generate a second shortcode for a different user (have not entered any new access token) and I get this error message on their page where their feed should show up: This client has not been approved to access this resource.

Please let me know what step I’m doing wrong or what step I have missed.

Do you mean that I have to actually be logged in as that user, so that I can get their access token to make this work? What I did was contact my client and they sent me each individual access token for each person. How do I enter that??

If I go to the setting page and put the Bellamy Brothers Access Token on there, the the Bellamy Brothers Instagram feed will show up – but everyone else’s shows what you now see on Susan’s page. If I got to the settings page and put Susan’s Access Token on there, then Susan’s Instagram feed will show up – but everyone else’s shows nothing but what you see on Susan’s page now.

I really want to use this plug in, but I’m getting really frustrated.
