In reply to: [SpeakOut! Email Petitions] Custom FieldsI was hoping to use two fields – rename one for “Age” and one for “Name of School” – is there a way to do that? If you tell me where to find the file with the form fields, I can figure it out. I understand that any changes I make would be overwritten by updates.
Thanks.

In reply to: [Appointment Calendar] Closed on WeekendsIt seems that my client may want to be open for a few hours on Saturdays. I think I’m going to need the full paid version of this plug in. I tried going to the website for Appointzilla – but it looks like that plug in has not been updated since 2015 and I’ve tried for the past few days to contact someone there and got no response. I’m concerned about buying the full version for $99 and not being able to get any support. Could you let me know if that plug in is up to date and fully supported?

In reply to: [Photospace Gallery] How to edit a galleryEdit to the above sequence –
It seem just de-selecting an image does not remove it – do I have to “Permanently Delete” any image I want to remove from the page?? But she doesn’t want them permanently removed – only removed from that page…

In reply to: [Photospace Gallery] How to edit a galleryI’m confused (I think) – So I can’t just open a gallery and make a change – for instance, if one image out of 30 on a page has a spelling error in a caption – I have to rebuild the entire gallery and then overwrite the old one?
I am working on this site: https://lisajenningsart.com/paintings/ (this is just one page out of many galleries on the site. The site owner is a painter and sculptor.
She wants to remove some image, add the word “SOLD” to some images – so the only way I see to do this is to (tell me if I’ve got this sequence correct):
Open the page where the gallery resides.
Click on “Add Media”
Click on “Create Gallery”
Click on “uploaded to this page”
Select all the images I want to keep on the page
De-select all the images I don’t want to keep on the page
Edit the text for the Caption to add or change any text needed
Click Create New Gallery
…Then….if I see that I missed something…I have to go in and do that entire process again??There has to be a better way! What am I missing?

In reply to: [Category Posts Widget] Full post showing and not excerptI have found that if I use Page Builder by SiteOrigin on the posts page – then no matter what I do – it will not show just an excerpt and will not show any “…more” link.
Are there any plans to address this bug?

In reply to: [Category Posts Widget] Update from 4.1.9 to 4.6.1 posts no longer showingI just updated from 4.1.9 to 4.6.1 as well and all of the post disappeared on my pages (11 pages of them) as well. I got a “plugin not found” error on each page.
I deleted each instance of the plug in on each page and then re-added the widget (and all details) and it worked fine.
Pretty disappointing to have to re-do all of those pages because of an update. I hope the new update keeps working.

In reply to: [Category Posts Widget] Full post showing and not excerptHas this been fixed in the newest update? Is HTML allowed in the excerpt?
I am using all the most updated versions of WordPrss, SiteBuilder, and Black Studio. I have a problem with every site that uses these two plugins. Here is what happens, I’d love to know if anyone else is having this issue, it really wastes a lot of my time. I will work on a site and add a row and widget (Visual Editor widget with SiteBuilder) and add it somewhere on a page. Then later (maybe the next task I do, or it could be days or weeks later) I will add another widget somewhere else (for instance, I just finished adding all the next I needed on a home page using several different rows and each row contains an instance of Visual Editor and then I went to Widgets and added a Visual editor to a footer widget with the site name and address; when I viewed the page it looked fine, then I browsed to a different page on the site and the widget I just added with the address was gone and one of the rows/visual editor content was in it’s place). This happens to me far too often. The only way to fix it is to remove the widget completely and then add it back again from scratch – you cannot simply add it to inactive widgets and then add it back – my original content is completely gone and has been replaced with the content of a different widget. I read through this thread and I’m not going to try using the SiteOrigian Editor instead of the Visual editor and see if that helps – nothing else has worked. Yes, I’ve tried all of the above fixes – this happens on every single site where I’m using these plugins – over 30 different sites, different themes, different combinations of other plugins, etc.

In reply to: [Page Builder by SiteOrigin] Update made all text disappearThanks so much for the quick reply. I did do a test with all the plug ins and it looks like it is incompatible with “Responsify WP”. Once I deleted that I was able to get my text to show up again. I did have to re add it manually, as no saved versions would work.
The only other issue I’m having (and this has been happening for a while). Is that once in a while (not every time), when I update or add a new row/widget (sometimes to a page and sometimes when adding a side or footer widget – the new “widget” (this seems to happen only when using “Visual Form Builder” in the widget) will appear correctly where ever I’ve placed it – but then it will also appear in another widget location (replacing what was already there). For instance, today I added the main body of the home page in one page builder row using the widget “visual Form Builder” and once I published it – that same widget also appeared in the right side bar (replacing an image that was there before). To fix it, I have to go to “Widget” open the sidebar widget (and there in place of the image I had there before is all the text I just put on the home page) – I have to drag that widget to “Inactive Widgets” and create a new one, putting back what was there originally.

In reply to: [WOW Slider] Update in WordPress causes errorUpdate: Just tried updating to the new WOW Slider 8.5 and the above problem still exists. If you deactivate the plug in first; then it will update with no problem. But if you try to update the plug in while it is activated, it will simply sit there and and spin indefinitely – the only way to get out of it is to go to the server and delete the file .maintenance and then the site will be back and the plug in will be updated.
I certainly hope the author of this plug in fixes this soon, it’s been close to a year since I first reported this problem (I’m sure I’m not the only one) and there have been numerous updates to the plug in since then; but no fix on this bug.

In reply to: [WOW Slider] Update in WordPress causes errorUpdate: I am using WordPress Version 4.2.4 and I had WOW Slider 8.2. Today when I logged in to my site WOW Slider had an update ready (to 8.4) – I took a chance that this issue must be fixed by now — nope! I clicked on “Update” and the site just hung up forever and when I tried going to another page, it stuck the site in Maintenance mode. I went onto the server and deleted “maintenance” and then reopened the site. The site was now working and the WOW Slider was now updated to version 8.4
I hope this gets fixed soon. The information from the “Plugin Author” from 5 months ago (see earlier comment on this page) that says “Hello.
This problem is fixed, but only if you update WOWSlider plugin from version 7.8 or higher.” is incorrect. It is NOT fixed.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [WOW Slider] Update in WordPress causes errorI found that if I deactivate WOW slider first and then click to update, and then reactivate after the update is complete, it works. If I try to update with the plug in activated, it still causes the same issue you are describing.

In reply to: [WOW Slider] Update in WordPress causes errorAn update on this – there is still a problem. It still happens on EVERY site – various WP versions. The most recent one just happened to me a few minutes ago. WP version 4.2.2 – I had version 8.0 WOW slider installed and tried to upgrade to version 8.1 WOW slider. I clicked “Update” and it just hung up the whole site – the “busy” icon just spun for over 10 minutes. The only thing I could do was to exit the page – which of course caused the site to be hung up in “Maintenance” mode and I had to then go to the server and delete the .maintenance file. Once I did that and re-opened the site, the WOW slider plug in was updated, but deactivated. I re-activated it and it was fine. I have found that the ONLY way to update the plug in is to deactivate the plug in first, then click update, and then re-activate it. This is obviously a bug and I hope that WOW slider gets it fixed soon.

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Hide timesThat would then show as an all day event. What I’m looking for is a way to not enter any time at all – even better would be the ability to add TBD – there are many times that an event is upcoming, but the exact time has not been set.
