I am using the WordPress block editor and adding the “woo checkout” block rather than inputting the short code because it looks 100x better. The “page does not contain the short code” goes away but why would it be causing this issue?

@yazdaniwp , yes i added the code to the themes functions.php file and it did not change anything on the website. i even placed it in multiple locations to see if that would make any difference.

@yazdaniwp that code didn’t seem to do the trick. when I “inspect element” on a page i see two <h2 class=”woocommerce-loop-product__title”> dropdowns and i can remove the second one and fix my problem but when i go into my theme editor there is only one there.

no not exactly, I have over 200 sub categories so when i do that it fills the whole sidebar and the folder design does not look that good. I only want it to show the subcategories of the page being viewed. Is there a plugin for what i am trying to do?

Hello, I was still not able to figure this one out. I believe “how to create a custom side bar” isn’t the right question. I have added a better image of what i am trying to accomplish. On this website when i go to the “footwear” page it only shows the sub categories for footwear such as shoes and when i go to the “shoes” page it only shows the subcategories for shoes on the sidebar.

Hello, thanks for responding. The only plugin I have is the woocommerce plugin.

Didn’t work. In the link above the image of the storefront theme there is text saying product category’s. Under that is music, posters clothing and a picture for each category. That is what I would like to do with my site.
