In terms of the renaming idea will this cause more issues when I try to reintegrate the plugin? I have enabled most iThemes settings.

I cannot access the backend so I guess increasing the PHP memory and max execution won’t help, or am I mistaken?

Perhaps I haven’t been clear…

I was wondering if there are shortcuts that I could use to retain the blog posts rather than start again from scratch.

Also is there a way to design the site, make sure its OK and then exchange the HTML for the WordPress version?

They must have gotten in before I closed the comments am going to post the htacces question again in another part of the forum as I think it’s been lost in my post.

I asked my host who suggested I use a Filezilla (set to only upload one file at a time) to prevent the firewall blocking access.

It worked like a dream thanks apljdi for your help.

When I did upload the files it did not run smoothly so did it again still with some issues (timing out etc). I use Dreamweaver, is there a better way to make sure all the files upload correctly?
