In reply to: Where have my subscribers come from? Thanks for replying.
If you mean the Membership checkbox it is unchecked so I guess I’m not letting them subscribe?Forum: Your WordPress
In reply to: Railway Holidays – live at last!Nerx – thanks for looking. I appreciate your thoughts. I would only say that my audience is from the more mature demographic so they are perhaps not so bothered that it doesn’t look cutting edge/web 2.0? What would you suggest I change?
lockettpots – also thanks for looking. I will try and make it look a little more relaxing, though I am trying to get a lot of info on the page!

In reply to: Admin VERY slow since 3.1I have tried the yourdomain/wp-admin/upgrade.php suggestion but I simply get a message saying no upgrade required and it’s still very slow.
Clicking on Pages from the dashboard takes about 30 seconds to access and Posts is taking 3 minutes+.
Other wordpress installations (same version) I have on different servers are also fine – its just this one site.
Finally the admin of the site is fast and accessible through a different broadband provider which makes me think it’s my ISP. But why would it be just for this one site?
I am truly confused but will keep trying to find a solution.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Admin VERY slow since 3.1I’m still having this issue despite having disabled the admin bar.
I don’t beleive it’s a plugin problem as I have an exact copy locally of the site and it’s running fine – so perhaps I have a connection/site host issue?I am unable to access my posts at all via the normal route (just hangs though I haven’t just left it to see if it finally works) but can sometimes get to them by clicking categories from the dashboard and then clicking the number next to the category I want to edit.
I have 113 posts which I don’t think is that many!?
Similarly with Pages of which I only have 13.This is making the site uneditable.
I don’t think it’s an issue with my host, as I have other sites with them and do not have the issue, although they are on different boxes.
I seem to be going round in circles trying to figure out what is going on.
Anyone else still having a problem after disabling the admin bar? That worked!! Thanks.
NickOK – thanks for the response, I’ll give that a try.
NickHi,
I’m getting that exact same issue in 1.7.2 as reported in the first post – some images not loaded and others squashed into the left hand side – but only in IE.I’m certainly no JS/JQuery expert so am wondering if there is a resolution in sight, or how far back I’d need to go in versions to avoid the problem?
Thanks for the great plugin by the way.

In reply to: Tags and Related Posts QuerySorry, ignore my ignorance – just figured out why it shows as it does.
So, does anyone have an idea how to achieve my requirement?
One widget to show the main holiday hotel and another to show alternatives. Do I need to have sub-categories below hotels, eg, venice main hotel, venice alternative hotels?
Thanks again,

In reply to: Kind of related posts but a bit differentI have been looking at plugins, just can’t seem to get them to do exactly what I want.
Maybe I’ll have to pay someone for some coding!
Thanks again,

In reply to: Kind of related posts but a bit differentWhat I have been trying is using a post excerpt widget to display the hotel info and then using a widget context plugin to determine which page to display which hotels. It works but means I could potentially end up with hundreds of widgets in my right sidebar (admin area) to cover all hoiday/hotel combinations.
Just hoping there was a more elegant solution.
One thought is having categories like Venice Main Hotel,Venice Alternative Hotels, etc and display posts within a category with a sidebar widget. This again though could mean a lot of widgets to manipulate in the admin area.

In reply to: Kind of related posts but a bit differentThanks for that – bit advanced for me really.
Also, I don’t think that is quite what I’m looking for. If I have a post of a holiday (for example, with ‘Venice at Christmas’ as a tag) then my main hotel and alternative hotels (with ‘Venice at Christmas’ as a tag also) means the main one would show fine as it is the only one (hence ‘main’) but my alternative hotels list would also include the main one again.
Have I interpreted what your code does correctly?
Thanks very much for replying though.
